F it.IF he's not on the field against Baltimore the only way he should ever see the field, is by playing out his current deal

I'll give him until the morning.

Sunday, 6am until TC was wrong about the deal.

Fuck. I really want everyone ready to go by week 1

Give me a break, like Michelson doesn't have a couple mistresses on the side. Ever hear of John F. Kennedy - good family man too, ever hear of Marilyn Manroe?

Can someone confirm this...I heard someone mention that if Revis sits past week 8 or something he keeps the year on his contract. So if he sits past week 8, he will still have 3 years left on his deal, is this true? Cause if he doesn't sign soon I would make him sit for the rest of his career and completely destroy it.

If he is back a week before the season begins I will welcome him back with open arms, but if not I am going to lose everything I ever thought of him. So I ask again is the week 8 thing true?

Lets say that Revis sits out the year, and the Jets don't trade him. Do they still pick up his option for the next two years, 5 and 15 million? What if he continues to sit after that and they just have to pay him for nothing?

Wow! I'm shocked you'd go this far just to say you support Revis. :eek:hmy: I'm sure 'Joe Willie White Shoes' wasn't being literal with the GNP stuff. The fact that you took it that way is a bit scary.... You seem to argue about barely tangent things a lot.

As for supporting athletes, if I don't like them, I'm not spending my money on things they promote. I'll still cheer for my team, but that doesn't mean I have to like every player.

Lastly, what Revis is doing affects his performance on the field as well as the performance of his teammates. Aside from not being there to practice, he isn't imparting knowledge on our rookies. He's forcing Kyle Wilson to learn two spots rather than just concentrate on nickel. Lowery can't work at safety, etc.... And whatever extra he fights for on his contract, we don't have to spend on other players we'd like to sign. That could mean the difference between keeping a really good player or going with a cheaper replacement. The salary cap will exist in the NFL, so you can't operate as if it doesn't.

I'm sure you'll come back with some counter arguments, but if I don't reply, don't take offense. I just don't care as much as you do. :)

The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Revis tweets w/Whore but it was a meanless tweet)

He would owe us 3 years, and those guarantees are gone at this point. (I think)

The Jets don't pay if he doesn't play though. Bottom line is at this point Revis is not coming back until he gets a new deal.

    GREAT POST!

I'm making a topic quoting you here if Revis ever rejoins the team.

Why would I counter? I don't disagree with any of that, except the first part. Joe Willie has been dropping nonsense throughout this thread. Literal or not, it was a retarded statement.

I do agree that Revis is hurting the team right now. That's why I said I was pissed that he's still holding out. I'll get over it once he signs and starts helping the team. All I care about is the team. This bullshit about booing a member of the team or showering him with fake money is absurd.

I also don't want the Jets breaking the bank for him. $12 million a season is a fair price and will likely be a good price once we go to an 18 game season and the players demand higher contract numbers. I think we're in agreement that he needs to be in with a contract that allows the Jets flexibility with future contracts.
