My apologies, I was reading from my phone and have poor reading comprehension. I jumped to that conclusion because I had a feeling you are a hard knock Jet fan.
Jeez, u guys wanna cut the throat of the new guy but no1 reads I say clowney can get down field as a gunner but prob wont be a good tackler when he needs to- someone says do i know what a gunner does I say Mcknight is a work in progress and they say i said Washington was gimme a break folks lol
no problem.. just feel like im getting jumped lol i feel like i know this team pretty well, also considering the fact that one of our female friends dated Rob Turner for quite some time i know a few of these guys on a personal level
i do not.. my old job had season tix in 313 but im too poor to afford tix on my own. If i get too two games a year thats alot. I actually prefer to watch on TV tho. Only because the travel time is rediculous to go back and forth from LI.
In Hard Knocks Clemens had an X by his name and is believed to be gone wether by trade or cut. Hard Knocks may have knocked out Jets' trade leverage on Clemens Posted by Mike Florio on August 26, 2010 12:37 PM ET Plenty of football people would refuse the opportunity to have their teams featured on HBO's Hard Knocks. Even though the team, as we understand it, retains full control over anything and everything that shows up on the air, mistakes can be made. Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post has spotted a potentially glaring one. Hubbuch says that, in Wednesday night's episode, a shot of the team's roster board reveals an "X" next to quarterback Kellen Clemens' name. And "X" apparently marks the spot -- as in the loss of a roster spot. The disclosure comes at a time when the Jets are believed to be hoping to trade Clemens, a second-round pick in 2006. So with Clemens possibly on the cut list, it's highly unlikely that anyone will give up anything of value for Clemens -- unless another team wants to trade for his $1.176 million contract in lieu of trying to sign him as a free agent. That said, we've watched the portion of the show that shows the team's position-by-position roster board, and we don't necessarily think that the information shown by Clemens means he'll be cut. Clemen's name appears over a yellow background, which possibly is the designation the team uses for vested veterans. Also, there's a red dot next to his name, but we saw no "X". That said, Clemens is third on the depth chart behind Mark Brunell and ahead of Kevin O'Connell. Presumably, Clemens is the most vulnerable guy, especially since O'Connell will earn only $470,000. Along those same lines, we noticed that veteran fullback Tony Richardson -- who presumably is safe -- appears at No. 3 on the fullback depth chart. At a base salary of $855,000, it's hard to imagine the Jets keeping him around. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...e-knocked-out-jets-trade-leverage-on-clemens/
I like Washington the least of the three. He made a great hit, but had he not been standing still when the play broke back to him...it's a non event. Outside of that he's generally invisible. McKnight is one of the 5, so the other poster notwithstanding he's staying. That 53rd spot is probably going to come down to Washington or Woodhead, and Woodhead is the more versatile player. It was irksome during the episode, when Rex is talking to Marty about him and everything the kid does, and then says 'but at the end of the day...' alluding to how small he is... He's roughly the same size as that FA safety we brought over from Baltimore...
agreed. completely unnecessary considering if you needed an emergency QB you always have Brad Smith..no way they keep 4
Aigne is much better than O'Connel but has baggage to work through. If they didn't like Aigne he would already be gone. So they will keep both until they either get Aigne back or decide to waive him. Clemens is gone no matter what. He has no upside and is getting paid more than both Ainge and O'Connel together. I liked Ainge out of college and believe if he had his head in the game he could be a real good #2 QB.
I think it is pretty close, I'd like to see C. Washington the RB make the cut. I'd hate to drop him the PS for the Giants to turn him into another Ward.
