He has been one that is predicting it's close ever since Cowlishaw's Sunday tweet.

I hope if he holds out this year that the Jets ice his ass for the length of his entire contract he signed. Let him sit out until his contract is over with, then come back into the league.

I hope if he holds out this full year that we trade him for some value. Of course, I want this team to be as competitive as possible. I also can't see him missing this season.

A guy with three years left can't sit out.

Once the team makes it through the season without him, they have ZERO motivation to do anything except make him play out his contract.

Especially if he has these two schmucks for agents.

(and...on a side note...I'd be willing to wager that there are probably enough GM's that would like to see these two guys damaged that you might get a favorable trade or two out of sympathy for sitting on Mevi$. There are only 32 GMs...it's a small club..)

If I were Mr. T and A.J. Smith... I'd be talking about a way to trade Coles for Jammer...

(Coles, Coleman and a Fifth rounder should get that done depending on Jammers contract sitch)

Those two Putzs would shit bricks. Are Coles and Jammer, Mevi$ and Jackson...no...but it does send a message.

Jammer's 31 and isn't in the Chargers long term plans anyway.

    WTF!?!

I usually try to give you respect, but nothing in here makes sense! Coles for Jammer? He's their #1 CB, and when they went RB instead of corner in the first, they made it very clear how they felt about him. What depth do they have behind Jammer and Cason? Strickland? Nathan Vasher? I can't think of a team LESS likely to trade us another corner. Cromartie was a dump trade. He couldn't stay. They love Jammer.

And no, the team doesn't have motivation only to make him play. Again, he ain't sitting out. If he did, however, I'd bet 50 grand the team either trades him or signs him to a new contract. You're being far too emotional about this and losing your rationality. Teams can't play the vindictive game in this league.

Dude, he's thirty one. He's more a name than a talent, it just makes better sense to take the easy way out an go elsewhere... and I threw him out based on AGE only. He's got what two good years left?

As I said..I didn't really look at their roster..Plug in Vasher. He's an upgrade over Coleman.

And Yes. After Kendall, and Baker, now with their star player holding out in the middle of the rookie deal he held out for..if he is unwilling to accept the apparently decent largesse he's been offered and sit out one year...it profits the team nothing to treat it as other than a career ending injury.

These agents aren't going away, the best way to preserve the health of your organization going forward is to help keep talent away from these nitwits...

I agree with you he isn't sitting out. My point is, that once he does, especially in your built up for a run year...you force him to play out his deal or retire.

You couldn't trade Coles for a loose stool.

FWIW I saw Revis in the Aventura mall. He was walking with Bill Parcels.
