The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (status unknown) What I took from the SNY stuff, is what I said earlier. This "news" was leaked by the Revis camp to try and and get fans back to saying, "derrrr SIGN REVIS" Also to try and overshadow the Mangold signing which made the Jets FO look even better. Revis will not be playing in 2010 IMO.
this is too funny. didn't expect to open up this thread and see anything about boyle road. ward melville grad here.
Baker, Murrell, Douglas.. seems anytime they rapresent a Jet player he leaves. I remember Tanny saying many times how much he hated these guys... PS I like Turner, I hope he's not the next to leave when his contract is up next season... I know he's a backup but I think he's solid.
That is the first thing that jumps out at you.... all the fucking ex Jets. Also the whose who of the FO's problem children. Notice that their clients are the only ones that claim the Jets lied to them?
Then READ THESE http://bleacherreport.com/articles/434806-are-darrelle-revis-agents-to-blame-for-contract-skirmish http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...29/2007-07-29_revis_seeks_sixyear_deal-2.html (Jets don't want voidable years..)
You have to wonder if that isn't why they let Douglas go..they could use him now too. Turner may be next.
Last year's performance based on what? Lowery is the highest rated returning corner on our roster until Revis returns. Cromartie and Wilson need to prove they can play at that high level still. You should probably also know that they ran a poll of the best CB duos in the league. Hall and Joseph won over Revis and Cromartie. I'm not saying I agree with that sentiment since I think Cro will bounce back, but until Revis comes back, you can't possibly say we have a better group of corners than the Bengals.
cromartie a poor tackler as we all know ..... wilson i like alot but he is a rookie and early on he will be pick on alot and the 9-7 had more to do with sanchez uneven year
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (status unknown) Not again, please. Cornerbacks are never premiere tacklers but he'll be just fine. Rex will make sure of it. Plus Brodney is a huge improvement over Kerry in tackling. Which actually matters at that position.
I know that..all I'm saying is that overall what we have now without Revis is still better than what we had last year with Revis. Of course with Revis, as one show was saying this afternoon, we might have a historic defense. In the '86 Bears mold.
