This blows since it proves they have available spots, but continue to screw all the upper deck ticket holders. They're scalping their own plentiful parking - parking they wouldn't offer to their loyal fan base even at a premium. They'll wonder why sooo many longtime season ticket holders waive goodbye after this season.
I think this is a case of over-subscribing, not that they have enough available spots for UDers. They're probably banking on low attendance and trying to make a little extra cash from it. My guess, anyways...
I guess they didn't quite learn their lesson last year when thousands of STHers bailed on the '09 season by not sending in their money in June. This might give you a little clue people are pissed off, ya think?
$50 for a preseason game??????????? Better get to Redd's or the Hampton Inn early for 1/2 the price, what really bothers me is that your lucky to get 40,000 for this game which leaves plenty of parking. But your going to do your fans a big favor and let us park for double the price. Way to go big green.
I've got no problem with the $50 charge. Season ticketholders should have some kind of benefit to having prepaid parking for the season. If anything these prices have done some people a favor. Remember in 2007 parking passes were selling for $70, $80, even $100 for some games on the open market. The prices are still high even for this year but it will keep prices down on ebay stubhub etc for people needing a pass to one game. There are also places like ebay, stubhub, etc. with parking passes going for cost for this weeks game. We also don't know where these people will be directed to park.
If you buy it on ticketmaster I'd bet that $50 charge turns into $80 dollars once the TM Nazi fees kick in.
I have a pass (yellow) if someone needs it for Friday's game. No problem helping out a fellow Jet fan, certainly not going to charge $50. Just PM me if you need it.
There are probably 200 passes and 4300 tickets on ticket exchange almost all passes are $25 (they will not allow the price to be posted lower for passes) Why anyone would pay $50 is beyond comprehension. I bought 2 tickets in section 140 45 yd line yesterday for $10 each for the preaseason game. They were $20,000 bsls and $150 tickets in that section. They charged a $4.95 fee for ticketfast and $5 each convience fee $34.95 total. Can't really complain about the price. If I owned the tickets I think I would have donated to charity before allowing the price to drop that low.
