I don't know. Cowlishaw seems to be taking this awfully seriously. I'm not sure it kills his career in Dallas if he's wrong about something in New York, but it could hurt his presence on ATH.

Of course, ATH has its share of problems right now anyway.

Go ahead. Give us an example of where you predicted Holmes will come to us using your friend's dad's information. Give us a reason to believe you.

    I don't think he would.

The only thing I can think of that still makes sense goes back to team Revis setting a drop dead date for accepting the best offer on the table. Revis tells someone he shouldn't have, they leak it, and then his agents have to do damage control and talk him into postponing the drop dead date.

I have nothing more than more crazy idea's though.

The Revis thread has gotten close to 8,000 posts in a month. That's insane.

No need to get on him for it. His source may be seeing packages all the time. It could have been Steve Jackson's package to Seahawks...

I was kidding but you really only need to see some things that get reported to realize that reporters do read forums and then include some of what they read into articles.

well...if Cowlishaw is beginning to waffle on this....then that's the lynch pin, imo.

It'll be safe to say that Revis/Jets are no further along than they were last week....

    what a piece of shit.

    ATH?

Im pretty sure Cowlishaw reports have BS written all over it. He has prepared his excuse report already. And I doubt if Cowlishaw was the only one involved in this saga. Im pretty sure he got permission from his boss and their boss to post such nonsense (if untrue) to gain some popularity OUTSIDE of dallas, albeit the bad apple.

I searched. He didn't comment until well after it was done, and never mentioned his 'source'.

Yeah, but he specifically said that things remain status-quo. That's a HUGE difference than saying that he can't comment, etc.

Well, if that is the case, the numbers can't be accurate. Woody's 'no progress' would seem to indicate that they're still 40 million apart and stuck on those original terms. If Revis is taking a drop dead date, maybe he released that info to throw the team off after Cowlishaw. Just grasping at straws here. Hopeful straws.

Yeah, I did a quick search too. He's only mentioned the NFLPA twice, and both times were in this thread. Today.

The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (status unknown)

A gag order means you simply don't comment.

He said that there has been no progress. Things are status-quo. If it turns out that they're signing a contract right now then what he said was a flat out lie.
