ATLANTA -- I just spoke with Jets owner Woody Johnson at the Special League Meetimg and he told me that to his knowledge, there is nothing new with the Jets and holdout cornerback Darrelle Revis.

I asked him if there have been any recent meetings or negotiations and he told me that the team and Revis' reps have promised not to publicly discuss the matter but he said, again, to his knowledge, there have been no new developments.

Lastly, I asked him if he expects Revis to report anytime soon. Johnson said, to his knowledge, things remain status quo.

There have been conflicting reports in the last few days regarding Revis' holdout. The New York Daily News reports Wednesday that the two sides are close to coming to terms on a new deal.

The Dallas Morning News reported that Revis' agents and the Jets were supposed to meet Tuesday night, but the Daliy News says there are strong indications that such a meeting never took place.

The article from Wyche, who seems more non-committal than LaCanfora when reporting it:

I suppose Woody could claim it all happened without his knowledge, but that seems awfully unlikely.

This is from the Revis Island page on Facebook- says Frank T. "Revis, I like you. I have liked you since your days at Pitt. Also, I can appreciate you wanting to get paid, after all you do work in a pretty risky business. But, come on you bitch ass. Get the fuck out there like Mangold and fucking win a championship. Your agent needs to be bitch slapped and then pissed all over (just like the days of the old Meadowlands Stadium."

I'm guessing he is in contact with his source and was told that he didn't leak the info to anyone else.

The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?)

I asked Coleslaw if he thinks he was used as a pawn in the negotiations.

He said " No, if I'm wrong, it's my fault, not someone else's."

Not news but I think it proves his source is not from the Revis camp, IMO.

I don't know why Woody would lie. He could have just as easily said he can't talk about the contract. However, he decided to add the "status quo" part.

    He signed.

    He didn't sign.

    He signed.

    He didnt sign.

The problem is the signing bonus.

Perhaps the league did not approve the contract.

I got an email at 4am.

It is for Hard Knocks drama.

    He will sign today.

    He will sign Saturday.

He will sign a day or so before opening day.

    Media blackout.

    "My sources tell me...."

    ugh.....

I have a feeling that AOL Fanhouse, Pitt Radio and NYC ESPN radio all have the same source: Tim Cowlishaw's twitter.

Maybe not so much with NYC ESPN, but AOL Fanhouse and Pitt Radio don't have national credibility to lose; I bet they're rolling the dice backing up Cowlishaw. If he's right, they get to brag about their "inside sources;" if he's wrong, Cowlishaw is the goat and people will quickly forget that either of these insitutions reported anything at all.

This recent spike in Revis drama is owned by Cowlishaw and Cowlishaw alone; either he's right, and the world should bend their ears to Dallas columnists more often, or he's wrong, and he loses every shread of credibility he had.

I'm not sure anything is real anymore. I'm just waiting for DiCaprio to show up and tell me to use my training.
