LaCanfora on a chat at NFL.com, sounds like sour grapes to me. jim, canada12:17 PM ET when do you think derelle revis will sign?? in time for the season??? Jason La Canfora, NFL Network He already signed at the "secret meeting" last night didn't he?
Well no I was thinking a player who is under contract holding out and instead of earning the money his agent just gives it to him. I wasn't really thinking of an advance.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?) You've just described the past two years here: MBGreen feels a need to post every 5 minutes. Doesn't care if it's gibberish.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?) Woody just said to his knowledge there have been no talks and no progress. He doesn't know when Revis will report. While smokescreens are one thing, the owner flat out lying wouldn't strike me as a smart move. WTF is going on?
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?) I really wish someone would come into my office and hit me in the face with a bat! Anyone in the Rockland County area??
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?) There's a difference between "I can't comment" and "we've made no developments". Woody would have a tough time explaining why he lied rather than evaded. I'm not saying he's being honest, just that it would be stupid to flat out lie.
i swear to god if this doesnt happen soon i am going to take out geiger and leon washingtons wife. probably both.
This could still be true if the sources have been inside Revis' camp and he has decided to accept the Jets last best offer and report today/tomorrow.
i would like to know this too. it doesnt really matter though, because the gag order means that no one is talking. i doubt woody could really give any other answer than that until the ink is dry.
TimCowlishaw On Revis: AOL Fanhouse, Pitt radio, NYC ESPN radio and I all must have different sources. If all wrong, that's beyond strange. More later. looks like he is giving himself an out. again. uggh
I think people are taking this Media Black Out thing too seriously. They just agreed to not talk specifics about the contracts, it's not like they are bound by a contract not to talk. If negotiations aren't going as planned, either side can speak out if they decide to.
So weird ------ The latest "Darrelle Revis is about to sign" report comes from Pittsburgh, near the All-Pro cornerback's hometown of Aliquippa, Pa. Television station KDKA reports Revis is about to sign a 10-year, $150 million contract with the Jets with $65 million in guaranteed money. This would seem to be a compromise in Revis' advantage: He reportedly wanted $162 million with the Jets reportedly offering $122 million over 10 years. Several reports Tuesday had the two sides meeting, but that did not happen. Earlier this week, reports had Revis returning to the Jets on Wednesday, with speculation it would coincide with the latest episode of "Hard Knocks." However, the HBO program is taped and edited -- not live -- so it's difficult to see how a signing could be included, unless it has already taken place. KDKA sportscaster Bob Pompeani around midnight wrote on his Twitter account that his "people in the county" say "Revis (is) getting closer to accepting a record deal from Jets." Revis played high school football in Aliquippa and collegiately at Pittsburgh. Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets...aranteed_K3ib598sXZbugskzlxXwnO#ixzz0xddlS9uH
