The Darrelle Revis No Longer Holding Out Thread

I have to be honest, here. I listened to the Ross Greenberg interview on Boomer and Carton this morning and he didn't give me the impression that Revis would be on Hard Knocks tonight. He didn't make any proclamations one way or another. But, reading between the lines, if I had to guess, I'd say Revis won't show up on Hard Knocks. Againn, I Could easily be wrong. This is just my meaningless speculation. We'll see

The more this plays out, the more I think they aren't close to a contract extension. I don't see why they are being so "secret" about it, if the deal has essentially been done since Sunday.

 

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they end the show tonight with the camera scrolling thru an empty locker room after everyone is on their way to practice and stopping at Revis' empty locker leaving you with the impression that he's got his shit on and is out there practicing with the rest of the team.

Then on Thursday, they announce that Revis is signed.

 

Wow, I actually agree with you for once.

If Revis was acting like T.O. most fans would turn on him forcing the teams hand. It would be a great way for Revis to get out of town, that is for sure. Keeping quiet, while annoying, keeps the hate for Revis toned down to a simmer. When he resigns he will be accepted back, maybe some like me will still question how long it will be until he holds out again. But he has done no real damage to his rep in the long run.
