The Darrelle Revis No Longer Holding Out Thread

I will believe it when I see it.

I think he got news of an interview, and made the leap based on the gag order.

But, he can interview without mentioning negotiations.

The local guys are all soooo confident, and around everyone and everything, if they were like maybe but we don't know, but they are setting themselves up to look terrible with their conviction.

 

Any new news to report on? I went to bed and last I heard was there was supposed to be a meaning and then Leon's cunt of a wife told twitter there will be no meeting, blah blah blah.

Anything new and interesting about the situation today that I missed?

 

I wish somebody had more details on that TV interview...it's supposed to air today but that's all we know. What time? What network? Who interviewed him?

 

Wouldn't be the first time a player had to fire an agent.

 

I considered an intentional false leak but it seems to me that would likely backfire on either side. That would only put more pressure on both sides to force something to get done, and in rushing to do so, concede things they don't want to concede

He's not gonna say shit about Revis being on Hard Knocks. The Jets and his agents probably told him to not say anything about him being there. Also, he wants there to be some intrigue to tonight's episode. He also knows nobody is gonna buy a subscription to HBO just to see Revis' face tonight

 

I was thinking that it was a message to the fans, but he could have just done that on Youtube.

I don't buy the bolded, namely because he leaked the "news" of the contract long before the interview. It would have been a big enough splash if he would have just leaked the interview and then left it open to rampant speculation. He wouldn't have needed to take a leap of faith that could end up hurting his credibility.

 

According to Thurman unless Revis gets some real practice in, he would be useless until week 4.

I doubt it but he said it.

Even though people are refuting the hard knocks claim, it's becoming more and more evident to me that woody and co will reveal this contract on hard knocks. If revis taped an interview for today and absolutely no one knows what said interview is exactly, I'm guessing it was HBO... Denials or not.
