As much as I love this man, and my faith in Revis Christ has never waned since day one, that is just a ridiculous contract. I'm happy for him, and for us, as Jets fans, but that is a staggering contract.

10 year, 150 million, 65m guaranteed? Are you fucking kidding me??? No way Tanny would get ass raped that bad, unless there's bullshit money tacked onto the end and they are rolling guarantees rather than fully guaranteed.

If that's true then they're basically betting that he's going to be as good as he was last season or better for the next ten years without missing a beat, because there's no way they're ever moving that contract. And that's fucking insane.

Ugh. That's an absolutely disgusting contract. I'll be glad to have him back, but that's got some serious damage potential if true.

That's absurd, it would be the largest contract in NFL history by an $35 mil (McNabb's $115 million deal - and that was 12 years!)

Then again, if it's true, and Revis is back in camp Thursday and locked up so that we don't have to worry about losing him for 10 years, will I complain? Nope.

He's never see the last 2 or 3 years of that. 7 years 105 million, give or take.

I can not comprehend how any corner could ever be worth that much money. At least Crazy Al only agreed to pay stupid money for three years.

No corner is worth more than $10 million. I can't believe the numbers right now. I'll be glad to have him back either way, but man...I just can't believe Tanny would do a contract like that. I can't wait to see the real numbers and see how it breaks down.

I would imagine most of that money he'll never see even if he plays 10 years. I'm sure there would be clauses like getting 10 ints in a year, winning the super bowl, leading the team in tackles, etc. These contracts are set like that all the time. Just a month ago T.O. was talking about how his bonuses included him getting 100 catches. Something he's only done once in his career and something he acknowleges he won't do this year.

I will say one thing before I go to sleep, there's a lot of smoke out there right now. The most since this whole thing started. Gotta be some kind of fire burning, albeit could be a very, very small one.

Agreed. Only way Revis sees that much is he is DPY for 10 years and if we are in the playoffs ever year for the next 10 years winning a handful of rings..

Pompeani says it COULD be worth that much, which is a key word there.

hahaha. Although this supposed contract is staggering, I would gladly take that scenario.
