Right Iggy, I know what I stated. I am not sure you are correct about what a smart GM would do. Mr. T is smart and he has repeatedly stated that the Jets will not be trading Mevi$. Simply put in this situation the Jets have the leverage. Its better to let him sit out and retain your rights than it is to trade him away. Its better to let him sit out for a month, a year or several years than it is to give him away for less than equivalent value. Nobody is going to offer equivalent value. Hence its better to let him sit for as long as he likes until he decides he wants to get paid. He can sit there and have a temper tantrum and proclaim that he will never play for the Jets. I would let him sit out and breach his contract and not play. Its his decision. He can sit out and not get paid. Then when he gets sick of that and realizes its not in his best interests to do so, he will come back to the bargaining table.
