Well there are some real things going on in the wide wide world of web sports. I went to read a piece on Cowlishaw and the Revis rumors and the thread at the bottom of the page devolved into a "who sucks worse right now - Tarvaris Jackson or Mark Sanchez?" free-for-all, which accurately points out the thing that most matters this season for the Jets.
Jesus. I knew the LeBron signing was big, but I didn't think it would have THIS MUCH of an impact on the universe.
Actually, that's something they were discussing on 1050 today too -- that this season, in reality, hinges more on Sanchez than anyone else.
I was thinking about that. Don't want to grasp at straws here but it's plausible taking into account the following: Uncapped year means no salary cap -- gives owners ability to give out huge signing bonus (just what Revis wants). Jerry Jones has money, this is no secret. The Superbowl is being held in Dallas this season. With the Cowboys being preseason contenders, or even favorites, may sway the Cowboys FO into making a big-time move for 24 too solidify their title hopes. Cowboys are very weak at CB behind Terrence Newman. If they pick up Revis, they'll have 2 VERY strong corners. Tim Cowlishaw gets the scoop before everyone on Revis and seems to be right with his Wednesday prediction. Also, TC gets word of Revis interview airing tomorrow. What the interview will present is unknown. If said interview is in Dallas though, signs would point to a trade. Why Revis is in Dallas (if he is?) is odd. Jets and Revis camp have been at 40 million dollar impasse for months, leading to media blackout. Jets beat writers and local sources clueless, while Dallas area is in the know from a phantom source leaking to Cowlishaw. Perhaps the Cowboys know something? While I believe Revis will be a Jet and signs his contract sometime this week, in writing the above it's not too far-fetched to envision a trade here.
Ugh. I don't like hearing anything about this associated with Lebron. I still think this is all just PR.
Well that is 100% accurate. If Sanchez regresses to his pre-playoff ways the Jets can kiss this season good bye.
HE IS NOT GOING TO DALLAS.....THATS EXTREMELY FAR FETCHED. Man us Jet fans are losing it. I wish it was just wednesday already. Everyone is just speculating.
DeMarcus Ware and a pick or 2 would be equal value. If Rex had DeMarcus Ware as a cog in the Front 7 of his scheme, I think Drew Coleman could look good in the Secondary.
Isn't that kind of an obvious point? Any player who signs a huge contract needs to play up to it. Revis will be no exception.
I'm not losing it, just throwing a scenario out there. If you read the bottom, I have a firm belief Revis will stay a Jet.
Did he say he is resigning with the jets? Or that a deal is almost complete? The deal could be a trade to dallas:breakdance::breakdance::breakdance::breakdance:
