The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?)

Jerry Jones would pay that, he's about the only 1 actually. Makes sense in that regard. I can't see the Jets trading him at all.

I think this is all a bunch of speculative nonsense.

TC probably got wind of an interview and assumed that meant a signing.

I dont have any confidence in thus at all.

If the Dallas Morning News reported that he taped the interview then Cowlishaws source seems very likely to be from Revis camp. If Revis camp knows that he's back on Wednesday (before Hard Knocks) or Saturday (after exhibition game 3 has been played) then it's pretty clear that he's decided to take the money and run for now.

This would tie in beautifully to everybody who should know (i.e the Jets, their beat writers and the NFL office) denying steadfastly that anything is happening. Only Revis camp knows it's going down and they chose Cowlishaw to begin to cushion the return. The Revis interview will be the second level of cushion.

yeah, and also goes with the Cowlishaw involvement everyone has been so confused about. 2 good reasons backing up this theory.

So let me recap the current theories:

    1. Revis will sign tonight, the Jets will announce tomorrow, and we all go nuts watching this unfold on Hard Knocks tomorrow night

    2. Revis gets traded to Dallas for a bunch of good stuff and Jerry Jones pays him the insane money

    3. Revis has contracted a terminal case of genital warts, and will likely never play again for anyone.

Guys, if Revis were signing tonight SOMEONE on the beat writer side would have caught wind. There's no way he would have met with the team without it leaking locally.

Whats funny is this has been WAY more intense than any free agent threads that were crazy before. Like Herm's buddy John Lynch or Bart Scott or Jay Cutler, but Revis IS ALREADY ON OUR TEAM. Good times.

Here's a link that just confirms the meeting report. Probably already posted but just in case.

yeah, that's just an assumption since the Dallas morning news is reporting this, his interview could be with anyone for all we know, and Vrentas could be losing her marbles.
