Yeah and it's the guaranteed money that he cares most about anyway.

Anybody know when he is supposed to show up tonight for the big meeting?

As much as I'd love to F5 my way through this thread all night, I gotta get through Season 4 of Dexter.

He will sign at the meeting apparently. Also I heard Adam Schefter was squirming all over the radio and seemed pretty pissed that he didnt get to break the story about Revis lol.

I'm guessing 7 year extension, 131 million total compensation. 37.5 million signing bonus. The contract will probably be some crazy monstrosity that Tanny devised so I won't guess how it's structured.

The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?)

I'd love if that happened, but it's been clear that guarantees were a phase 2 negotiation and total money took precedence. I think hes going into this truly believing he's secure against decreased skill and oblivious to injury risk, so guarantees mean less to him. I think guaranteed money goes a shade over Haynesworth but has little impact on total money short of securing the Jets' offer over his demands.

"Tuesday Night" they are meeting. So probably like 7ish, who knows. I would expect to hear a report around 10ish to 11ish on ESPN that he has signed if they plan to announce it tonight.

fair enough if the cowlishaw announcement on Sunday made you and other Jets fans feel better

It didn't have that effect on me because I was wary of the whole thing. A columnist from Dallas is not who I thought would break the news. In other words, I could not trust the Cowlishaw thing so I didn't get excited.

Seriously. That would be classic Jets. They have him sign a blockbuster, parade him for the fans on Friday night and he snaps his leg in half on the third defensive play because his timing is off.
