The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (4AM Email - Revis in by Thursday?)

I doubt it. I don't think he'd report back after forking over a few hundred thousand in fines for holding out. No way he's playing for a million.

Sounds to me like his source just told him that they're meeting Tuesday night and they could have an agreement as early as Wednesday.

Let's hope so. Like I said, some corroboration is better than no corroboration, but I certainly wouldn't let a purported late night email win me over if a respected journalist couldn't.

I am glad they are meeting tonight, but I don't like that "but they're talking" part. It sounds like he's not as confident in his source anymore.

Cowlishaw just confirmed that the Jets are meeting tonight. The question now is whether or not they'll actually agree to anything. It could just be a meeting like the one at the Coffee Shop. Who the hell knows?

I posted this in the Mangold thread....but it's being reported that Mangold is getting 22.5 million guaranteed against injury.

Revis is probably getting a little antsy.....with other players getting their deals done.

My guess is they're meeting tonight to accept the best offer they got and hammer out the guaranteed part of the deal (which may take time).

So they give DBrick virtually no guaranteed money and give Mangold $22.5M?

The guaranteed part is the hardest part of the contract. I hope they have more than the total compensation figured out by now or are at least close on the guaranteed part.

They don't necessarily have to meet for that. They could have been speaking over the phone the last few days. They could be meeeting to just go over the paperwork.

If this shit is true, he must now realize to get a deal done, he has to be at camp.

No chance. He's not stepping foot on camp until the contract is signed.
