Rather amazing it is now over 24 hours since the TC story broke & our beat writers hacks have not yet mentioned anything about it. For sure it appears if the leak was in the HBO crew then all our beat writers did not have the brains to befriend any of them to obtain a little nugget here or there. Goes to show how much diligence they put into there job
I just find it hard to believe that a member of the Hard Knocks crew is more privy to the Revis negotiations than any of the other Jets sources out there.
It's not that hard to believe, these guys are mic'd/miked up and are getting tons of video and audio. Who knows what was over heard. It's a stretch sure, but maybe someone left their mic on. Could be something crazy like that, others speculate that he has a source directly in the Revis camp. Maybe a old friend or whoever.
The only way I could see that being the case would be if Tanny had been working a deal and someone from HK overheard it. And if that were going on, other people would know about it - people that the beat writers have access to. I think the more likely scenario (if this is true) is that Revis has a hard date for his agents to get him the best deal by and he told someone about it that he shouldn't have. Deion Sanders is still who I think it was.

He's talking about a $6 million roster bonus kicking in that drives his 3rd year salary way past the permitted escalation. Again, the only way to do it would be to structure more than 80% of the money in signing and completion bonuses, leaning heavily to the latter. That's the deal Harris rejected. If you made it incentive based and those incentives counted for 'cap' purposes thus year, you're killing the permitted escalation as well.
I don't know if you saw his press conference. But it seemed like he was smiling when he said it and I didn't get the impression that he was all that sincere with his answer. Just meaningless speculation on my part.
