The only problem I have with this is that the leak does them NO good, then. If TC implies the leak came indirectly from the Revis team, why would they leak that he's going to walk in and take their best offer on Wednesday? That would kill his leverage. There has to be something in this for the side that leaked it.
 I heard the interview and I believe the guy. Besides, what kind of load would post something on his twitter to get more followers? You don't make a dime from twitter.
It is a bit disconcerting that everyone else is saying no chance on this. I'm hoping that that's because they all contacted their Jets' sources, while Cowlishaw has a Revis source. So maybe the Jets don't know whether he's going to accept their offer because they haven't spoken to him, but someone close to Revis knows that by Wednesday he'll be ready to accept the deal.
More followers = more people reading his articles. Then again, if it turns out that he's wrong, that's an instant credibility drop. And I mean a BIG drop.
At the end of the day Mevi$ has zero leverage. Those two schmucks that represent him have probably figured that out by now.
He only needs 1. Everyone knows week 3 is the real dress rehearsal. That's one reason why what you said makes sense.
Sheffy now is just another hired hack reporting news after the news occur. He lost his "inside" sources when he departed the NFLN for ESPN. He is probably pissed with the TC story because if it is true it also make him look stupid just like our beat writers
I see what your saying, but maybe revis already accepted a contract and it is just being finalized. With the media black out, we wont find out about this until wednesday, when the contract will be sent to the nfl. I expect to see Revis in camp on wednesday morning.
It's really not that clever or funny. And it doesn't get funnier after the 4,800,995,236,102 x10^27 time, either.
Then why would he risk making himself look even more stupid by refuting a story when he has no real inside access to it?
Right. The guy isn't some noob. they say he's been around 10+ years? No way he pulls something like this (Assuming it's a total lie) and ruins his credibility.
So if there is a deal worked out, and Revis signs it and everything else falls into place, is there any figure that would make you hate the extension? I know Tanny knows what he's doing, and that it looked like he wasn't going to budge on at least the fundamentals of the contract, but say he did throw him a figure like 14-16 mil. Would you rather Tanny give in and have him signed Wednesday at 14-16 or to wait it out, and risk Revis holding out all season..
It's a weird, confusing situation to say the least. The only think that makes sense to me about Cowlishaw is that heis getting this from some of his friends at Hard Knocks that he made while they were in Dallas.
