I keep coming back to the same thing and what Cowlishaw seemed to want you to "read between the lines". There may not be a deal yet. What he might be saying is Wednesday is the day Revis walks back into camp and accepts the best deal on the table. That really is the only thing I can think of for why nobody else can get any info on this at all. There may not be any info to get...yet.
Cowlishaw watch: @TimCowlishaw hv u spoken 2 ur source again 2day? if so, has anything changed in their eyes since you broke this story? @Spa_The_God supposed to call me in a bit. and no.
It sure would be funny to see Shefter say 95% no chance and Wednesday there be a deal done. Im still on TC's side
Same, but Colishaw is standing by his words. He has reitterated over and over he believes its going to happen.
Given that he shares a network (part time) with Cowlishaw, it's especially not good. I like the 5%, though.
Yeah I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on here but TC indicated within that "Read between the lines" dialogue that players often tell their agents hold out for the biggest contract until THIS date. Chances are Revis is gonna take the last offer in hopes of playing in at least one of the remaining 2 preseason games.
Seems to be Schefter is annoyed with Cowlishaw..probably won't give up his source to him. Schefter should know better than to bet 95% against anything like this. It can change in an instant.
Maybe he's getting a bit of an ego on him. He certainly deserves it, but it's possible he's overstating it out of frustration.
I got that same feeling from the interview. Revis made this wednesday the final day of his hold out and he is sticking to it. He wants to play football and just wanted to see if he could squeeze a couple million dollars more out of the jets. Revis wants to be ready for the season and when he returns wed, that gives him plenty of time.
I can see Hard Knocks this week, Rex at bedcheck, walking around in the dark, opening doors to dark, empty rooms going "Revis...Revis, where are you..." and Revis jumps out at him and yells and scares the shit out of Rex. On second thought, Rex doesn't get scared. My bad.
Yeah, and I think it is telling why he said when he heard the reason he ruled Saturday out and said that it would be Wednesday. Revis may want two games to get ready and Favre got in coming back in the middle of the week. Revis should be able to too.
Scehfter is so cocky and such a little bitch. Hes only been around the for front of ESPN starting last year. I liked him in the beginning, but know hes going around sucking every players ass. He got ESPNd
Well, at least no one from either side has refuted Cowlishaw's statement, but I guess since there's a media "blackout", they couldn't anyway.
