When you type "Ti" into Google, "Tim Cowlishaw twitter" is now the first thing that pops up, before "Ticketmaster," "Time Warner," "Tiger Woods," "Time," and "Times Square," amongst other things.
The more I think about my 'Around the Horn' viewings in the past, the more I think Cowlishaw is reliable on this. The guys on that show are always solid in their analysis. If so, thank shit this is over. When Revis officially signs, it's gonna take a little while to recover from this trauma. Need to see him play in the third game.
Now for my next trick I am going to light myself on fire: Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$ Mevi$
Cowlishaw is a very reliable name. I don't think he'd fib a huge story like this.I'm willing to bet the source is somebody from hard knocks, who Cowlishaw is rumored to have a good relationship with. When Tanny and Schwartz agreed to the confidential negotiations suddenly all the conversation/meeting media updates came to a stop. I'm sure, however, that talks were ongoing. The only possible insider that would have direct knowledge to report given the media ban is someone from hard knocks filming/witnessing the agreement. That would explain why no other media outlets can confirm this report. All the team and Revis sources aren't talking.
OF course Mangold will sign - he doesn't have an asshole uncle in his ear. The Panthers trade for Sean Gilbert (giving up of two first-round picks and paying Gilbert over $6 million a year) was called a "debacle" by ESPN who reported that Former Panthers coach Dom Capers regretted that move, stating: "Sometimes you get in a desperate situation and you don't ever want to be in a desperate situation. You make decisions based on the fact that you don't have anybody in a position as opposed to being able to sit back and make long-term decisions that you think would be best for the organization." But Capers quickly realized he had sacrificed too much of Carolina's future for Gilbert. "There was a lot of discussion on that and my initial reaction was that it was too much," he said. We don't have that problem. The Jets can sit back and make long-term decisions all they want.
The Cowboys were on there 2 years ago, so there could be a link. But at the same time, Hard Knocks was supposed to be part of the media that wasn't allowed into the negotiations now. So would they even have somebody in the right place to find out? And from there, tell Cowlishaw? Sounds a little farfetched. I don't have a better answer, though.
This Cowlishaw scoop seems odd. He's one of the last guys I'd expect to sniff out the Revis contract.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Cowlishaw twitter says deal done, others disagree) They would if Revis's team wanted to put a positive spin on things by having HBO film negotiations when they were actually ready to make a deal. HBO was only shut out because Revis's team didn't want to look bad. It backfired.
why would you? most fans are fans of the team first and only fans of specific players because they play for their team. but I guess you are different. you aren't a Jets fan if you think it was a reasonable question you asked, you are a fan of players and I guess follow whatever team those players are on. must be a tremendous coincidence that every player you like plays for the Jets and thus by proxy root for them.
I just don't think Cowlishaw is the type of guy to risk his name on a false report. This is one of the national sports headlines going on a month now..and w/ hard knocks it's even further magnified. He misfires on this and he loses credibility for likely the rest of his career. As for why hard knocks would know? If the Jets and Revis quietly came to an agreement there would be huge marketing potential by announcing on HBO. For all we know both sides purposely leaked the story to one outlet and told everyone else looking to confirm to buzz off to purposely build suspense and get people to tune in Wednesday. It's a brilliant marketing ploy.
They film everything. Just because it isn't on that particular episode doesn't mean it wasn't filmed. They have eyes and ears throughout the entire building. So it is entirely possible Tannenbaum fielded a call that yielded significant results while a Hard Knocks crew was inside. No way they are keeping that news contained. Anyway, there are thousands of theories and possibilities as to how/why TC got his scoop. BTW, TC is well respected in many of the top Football reporters eyes, so he is solid in that respect.
Dustin keller is going to be on mic'ed up tonight with mike fatcessa....maybe he will announce revis is signed and jizz on fatcessas face while doing it.
