That's nice, but the tweet said a deal would be announced Wednesday , not Tuesday and the show airs on Wednesday. And why would anyone on either side care about putting on a "lebron" type BS show just for HBO on Wednesday?????
Ross Greenberg said on FAN before the first episode that they were going to be editing and retaping some stuff with Liev Schreiber on the Wednesday morning before the first one aired....but I know. We're all ignorant.
JWWS has the right point folks. A Revis deal would not be announced on Hard Knocks. That is ridiculous. It might be featured on Hard Knocks after it happens, but we are not going to see Revis LIVE in a room with Tanny signing a contract. Thats crazy talk. You might see footage of that during the show, but the deal would already be announced.
No one was talking about it appearing LIVE. People were saying that they'd reveal it on Hard Knocks. It's incredibly unlikely that they'd have a deal done today and hold off until Hard Knocks to announce it. However, if they're closing in on it and the deal is reached on Tuesday, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see them remain publicly mum on it until after Hard Knocks. He wouldn't be able to get to camp until Wednesday afternoon at the soonest, and that's if he breezed through his physicals and conditioning tests. If a deal were already in place right now, though, it would be idiotic to wait 3 days to announce it and hold him out of camp.
I'm going down to watch True Blood now because I hear a deal may be announced by HBO during that show. Revis is making a guest appearance and Sookie is going to read his mind and hear that a deal is done and will be announced Wednesday in time for Hard Knocks.
It only makes sense if the timing falls right. A deal being 'reached' on Sunday doesn't equal proper timing. If they're hammering it out and getting close? Meh...
Of course Around the Horn is inconveniently on vacation this week but I'm sure Cowlishaw will make the rounds on ESPN somehow.
Ok guys have fun and when I come back in an hour after watching gay vampires I want this thread over 5000, just like Mr. Colishaw wanted.
