Mayhaps Cowlishaw is just very accustomed to not facing any repercussions when he's wildly incorrect on Around the Horn. Hahah
So the Glauber piece just makes me wonder if Cowlishaw is tied to a chair in his living room while two guys wearing false nose funny glasses are pawing his blackberry and trying to figure out how to get MikeT to believe that he's in on the deal.
Eh, these days you don't have to be a beat writer to break a story. Denis Potvin knew about the Devils trading for Ilya Kovalchuk days before it happened, even though he's an ex-NHL star that's still a pretty random person to break such a big trade considering he never worked for the team or anything like that.
Well Kerry's gone and Revis is holding out, which tells you how nervous he was about that whole scenario.
Oh God, that's not the right juju we want surrounding this thing. If that is the case then my guess is that they are announcing that Green Giant has finally bought the naming rights.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Cowlishaw twitter says deal done, others disagree) ***BREAKING NEWS*** JetBlue is now THE official airline for travel to and from Revis Island. - Tim Cowlishaw
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Cowlishaw twitter says deal done, others disagree) They'd better be using Johnson & Johnson. So help me if they're not using Johnson & Johnson.
dammit. I causally dropped by and saw the Jets forum blowed up an I just KNEW we signed Revis....but instead all I get is a cock tease
The situation is what it is unfortunately. Personally, I would have a bit more respect for them (players under contract) to play out their contracts than pull this shit, but I can understand wanting to get what you are due. Part of the lesson here I guess for a team is, don't appreciate your players publicly. I didn't have any issue with Revis holding out his rookie year wanting to get the contract he believed he deserved... they agreed on one. Now it's not good enough. True enough.. he's a great talent. How about working with the system to get a new deal though when it is time? In the end I think this thing is going to be worked out... he'll get more money than God, the team will have some incentive driven contract they can live with (until the next time he feels he's outperformed it)... then we'll go on to become the greatest defense in the history of football and chase down that 40 year repeat dream. I'm over sweating millionaire players... but the Mevi$ moniker is appropriate.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Cowlishaw twitter says deal done, others disagree) He was inactive.
