The argument in favor of a deal getting done now is that the Jets have looked good on D so far in the two preseason games. With no real leverage but his effect on the defense Revis has a window that is limited by how good or bad the Jet D looks.

Smith knows him..he can just call him..so can others..I would think they already have. Unless all of their accounts have been hacked I am sure they can figure that part out.
The beauty of all of this is that the Jets and Revis can't respond since they've agreed to a news blackout. This could go on all day.
