Maybe he knows someone that the other writers don't. If he's willing to stake his credibility on something like this, let's at least give him a chance. I just hate how a writer can come out with a claim like this, and if he's wrong, everyone eventually forgets.
If a deal gets done it will be reported, not reported as "will get announced Wednesday". There's no point in not reporting a deal when it's done and absolutely no point in reporting it before that point given the contentious nature of the negotiations. Assuming Cowlishaw had inside info it would probably be from Deion Sanders, Cowlishaw was Cowboys beat writer from 1989 on.
Well, when you compare the number of followers Adam Shefter has (over 220,000) to the number that Cowlishaw has (16,000), perhaps Cowlishaw may be making this up to get more followers. So far he has increased his followers by 300 since this tweet 45 minutes ago.
Actually having Hard Knocks in the picture does create a possibility that the parties might wait until Wednesday to report the deal. I doubt it would stay under wraps that long, which lends a small amount of credence to the Cowlishaw report. In fact if HBO was trying to drum up interest in the show for Wednesday they'd probably try to leak it in the least likely manner possible (beat writer in a totally unconnected circumstance) to get people buzzing early.
I wanna hear from Tim Cowlishaw right now. Why doesnt ESPN have him on ESPN News live ASAP? He works with ESPN, he has a connection.

I mean take it with a grain of salt but Cowlishaw is saying "you heard it here first" as in no one else knows. I couldn't believe he would have this type of connection to know this stuff this quickly. Other writers are denying the claims just because they don't know of it. It doesn't mean it isnt happening.
