I know you can get injured during any snap.

Didnt Aaron Glenn get hurt in his mid 30's though?

You can't deny though that cornerback is one of the safest positions to play in a football game.

When you have Linebackers/Dline/Oline/RB all running straight into each other, and to see a corner just sprint along side a wr not being thrown at.

I just think giving guaranteed money to a CB in an uncapped year is pretty safe/low risk move.

Johnson is the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Johnson Company, Inc., a private investment firm founded in 1978.

Johnson became involved in charitable organizations full time in the 1980s.

    Think that's about it.

I don't think that is the problem right now. There are other factors involved. The main issue with this contract Jets have is that it will/can/might set the precedence for other players. They'd want to be paid accordingly. The jump from 120 to 160 is $4 million a year. Im sure they can agree in between to a $140 mil contract. $2 extra millions a year is pocket change for Woody, but again, it can set a dangerous precedence for the team chemistry going forward.

Aaron Glenn was 29 when he got injured. That was his last season with the Jets and was having a pro bowl caliber season.

Am I the only one that wakes up every morning now thinking something completely different is gonna happen with Revis everyday? Some days I think there's no doubt he's gonna sign with this team, others I'm like no way Revis caves it. Ugh this has been the happiest and most miserable I've ever felt at the same time about this team.

Take it for what it's worth, a tweet from Tim Cowlishaw (A Dallas beat writer featured on Around the Horn):

@TimCowlishaw: Revis and Jets announce new deal, probably Wednesday. You heard it here first. "Inside information!"

No, there is NO other support for this yet. Carry on.

What's the consensus? Is this reliable, I've seen him on tv, but don't follow him otherwise.

God let this be true. Jets better not have caved in on this deal. (If Tim Cowlick is right)

Who knows ESPN made a bullshit story with Bret Favre retiring. Maybe they are doing this to fuck with everybody to get ratings.
