with apologies to the TGG posters

    How come?

Because while a lot of my posts (especially the early-to-the-TGG-board posts) might've needed some "seasoning", it's more likely because you are a selective "cherry-picking" piece of white trash with anger issues. "How's that?" (to put it in Rex Ryan parlance)?

Me? Yes, I am a (relatively) really 'old guy' (smirk) who went down to the (deep) South after HS prep ball in PA, "walked on" (as a FS/P) and yes, ended up playing on the D-1 level (got "comped" my last two years of college)..yes, big friggin' deal and who really gives a fuck?---but YOU asked---and who later worked with (back then, on the 'Greentree' practice fields) with Steve Hoffman, the Offense/Defense camp in Trumbill, CT. (Sacred Heart Univ. campus) and later with Ray Pelfrey's camp as well as back in New York (Rockland County-Clarkstown So. HS) with Steve "goodforthree.com" Jenwenko, former Syracuse All-American and Bills/Raider kicker. And you, Mr. former "team manager" scrub? ....just layin' out some "really old guy" experiences...nothing more, nothing less. I should've thought twice, given your 'stripes' ...hmmm, my bad.

That said Skip, I'm happy to report good news Skippy: no "ear hair." lol. My delicious Italian child bride does however tickle my ears on occassion...well, when she isn't in 'cranky-Guidette' mode... ummmm...

    Regards,
while typing this useless garbage of mine in response to your garbage from my back deck, dick, 10583, NY. I've moved on. Suggest you do the same. Pleeeze, dial-it-down, minus the frown, clown.

(with sincere apologies to the thread posters)....sincerely...just setting boundaries vis-a-vis this needlessly caustic troll... after all, we are all Jet fans...no?,,

Jet fans wear green. Giant fans wear 'plaid'. ;- )

    Weatherford's punt:

    his stance: weak (no spacing)

    his steps: looked soft, slow..

more to the point, watch his LEFT foot right after ball contact. Did it "launch" (i.e. drive downfield)?

No. Steve Weatherford is a hell of an athlete and I like him on 4th down (would've like the Fresno 'directional' kid, but whatever), but : THAT was a poor VERY PASSIVE effort that we lucked out on .

Look, you obviously don't want to play it straight up (read: the aforementioned 'clique') so let it go, mr. in-the-know. I'm shuttin' off and checking out the game. Enjoy the game. (hopefully, #6 doesn't force another one like that).
    later, ya uppity 'young' grump.

So far he looks pretty solid. I am still somewhat concerned about Folk, until he does it for real.

Folk looked good last night. Hopefully he gets back to the form he had when he was good and stays there.

Knew about the rule but never realized it was the reason we got rid a Feely ...just to sign Xerxes?

I agree. The pressure for the individual to make the team can sometimes be greater than the pressure of a game riding on a kick during the season. Or at least similar.

    Thief.

Big, big props not only to Folk, Weatherford and Purdum (who looked like a legitimately effective trio) but to Mike Westhoff and every aspect of Special Teams.

Loved what I saw out of the ST. Coverage, kicking, returning... Everything looked great. Hopefully, Westy can return his squad to dominance this year.

Every one of his kicks would have missed against first team goalposts. They clearly had the backuprights out there last night.
