Yeah, that's right. He was on the team last year because he is white.

hahaha, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

The running joke is that Jets fans love small white UDFAs that work hard and are blue collar... The Chrebet Syndrome.

Iggy, I haven't called for him to get cut. I predicted that he will. Big difference.

I think Washington makes the team because he is a guy that can handle a heavier workload if Greene gets dinged up. He can run with some power between the tackles. I expect we'll see more of Washington tonight. CW has been getting some GL carries in camp. I see him as needed depth. For THIS year. We really don't know what we have in CW. Of course, the same could be said of McKnight, but I've seen CW in TC before, and I liked what I saw.

I wish they were still on LI. I used to get a pretty good feel for TC players, now... I only see snapshots. Based on those snapshots, I still have my opinions, but they are based on very little first hand objective observation. I recognize that fact. Believe me, I know I am just another dillweed fan with opinions. Like I said before, my opinions don't mean shit.

It's not like I'd boo the kid. Like Sanchez, I didn't like the pick and prayed I was wrong. No different here with McKnight. He's a Jet. I hope he suceeds. I don't dislike him, I'm just not impressed so far. There are still 3 preseason games to play. Let's see what happens. I don't think at this point that it is a slam dunk he would get claimed if we tried to taxi squad him. If another team claims him, he has to be on their final roster. That is a risk some teams are reluctant to take. We shall see.

If the coaching staff does not think Clowney can help on special teams, then I cannot envision him making the team. I wonder if he is going to get a shot this preseason to return kicks.

Well, I was being sarcastic about this being on Sanchez, but he was approached by Tanny before they picked him. All he had to do was be honest with Tanny, and tell him that he liked the ganja too much. Was there a reason that Pete Carroll wanted nothing to do with him?

Tanny wanted Greene, and was the voice behind us moving up for him. Is this logical enough for you?

I thought I read somewhere that they were trying to work with him on special teams, but it might take a minute to find the article. Not as a returner, but as a gunner.

    EDIT: It was Manish:

If he's going to be the gunner, he better tackle like Wright did.

Wallace could scream down the field and get to the PR before he had time to make his 1st move. He was also always there with Brad Smith to stop the KR as well. #15 and #16 were a hell of a ST tandem.

    Yep. And:

That's what I'm watching for, and what I'm sure the staff is watching for. If he consistently tackles well, he might bump Woodhead, who had a lot of struggles on ST last season.

sadly i doubt that clowney can actually tackle, but if he can all the more power to him. Although somehow I think woodhead still makes the roster, the coaching staff seems to really like what he brings to the table.

they're just specualating off hard knocks

i would be shocked if he didn't make the team

the guy has too much talent for them to cut him after his first camp

If he gets cut, somebody will pick him up

You weren't joking with your reference to Sanchez.. People called you out that firing a scout for 1 failed 4th round pick is stupid, and you backtracked and said Sanchez gave him a thumbs up attempting to pass the blame to him... Nice try though.

And Tanny didn't want Greene. He was pushed extremely hard by Bradway and Clinkscales to trade up and grab Greene. Tanny didn't want to give up more picks, but they in Tanny's words "double teamed him" and convinced him to trade up.

Again nice try, but your way off.

I agree I was out of line, calling for our scout to be fired. As far as McNight goes, we can't see into the future. Maybe he will workout for us. I understand that Mark isn't responsible for us taking him. I still feel that the team may have changed there mind about the pick, depending on what Sanchez said.

As far as Greene goes, you are right, Tannenbaum was talked into trading up for him.

im real dissapointed with McKnight. It would be so nice to have a solid 3rd RB like him. Hes coming out of USC so you gotta think hell do something in the NFL, but he fails conditioning tests and isnt doing well and then you watch HArd Knocks and you cant help but not feel sorry for the dude; Wasted talent, although i hope he proves me wrong as im writing this halfway through the 2nd preseason game haha.

Now you can make your case for Washington, TBird. I like what I'm seeing from him tonight.

Woodhead and Clowney will be fighting for that last roster spot.

Finally we see what McKnight has in the tank.

I hope that gives him the confidence to step up big time from here out.
