Remember when Peyton Manning threw for 300+ yards but the Colts only had the ball for less than 15 mins but Fin fans insisted they dominated that game?

They were controlling that game for the most part. They collapsed at the end and Ginn dropped a TD pass in the end zone.

the same way you guys dominated us in the second fins-jets game when it was only 6-3 at halftime? and you guys were dead until bess fumbled the punt when it was 17-6 ... yeah the same way

lol come on guys. I like Rex and find him to be a great motivator. Too bad I just gotta root against him haha

very horrible clock management too to end the game. Ronnie and Ricky played well, Pennington did nicely, the D just sucked plain and simple.

Ginn had his best game (reception wise) but the lasting image of that game for me will be the ball bouncing off of his outstretched hands in the endzone.

378-104 total yards...Dolphins offense couldn't move the ball, Dolphins defense couldn't stop the Jets offense...I don't think it's that ludicrous of a point to say the Jets outplayed the Dolphins in 2/3 phases of the game but the Dolphins won the game and in the end that's all that matters

And ftr it was 3-3 at the half....really weird fucking game

I agree you guys outplayed us the second half and it was a weird game haha i was just jokin around with the "dominated" thing.

it was a stalemate the first half, from what I remember anyway. i also remember Rhodes and Porter about to fight too before kickoff ... pansies.

That is one strange fight........... Rhodes hit him with his purse right after Porter had his friends jack him on the 50 yard line with his back turned at a blackjack table?

They were a very rough and tumble team that featured the Dean brothers and Ducky Medwick. I don't have any actual quotes to post, but I know they were a very cocksure bunch.

One team that did a lot of talking (and especially from the head coach) but did not back it up were the two-time defending NFL champion 1950 Eagles. They only mustered six wins in 1950.

He was an Associated Press 2nd team All-Pro in 2002 and 2004.

I realize you are being sarcastic, but it's not as if Brooking is a nobody. He was a good player at one time.

    Typical faggy avoidance.

They both have jobs to do.

Rex, has clearly performed his job fielding top 5 (one top 6) defenses) at a higher level than Brookings, who is clearly not, nor ever has been a top 5 Linebacker.

    Good.

Rex is one of the greatest defensive minds of our time.

    (probably second to Le Beau....)

CMAN...that's beneath you...blaming me for the fact that DOTTHR makes myopic unfocused arguments?

After all...isn't that your beef with this post?

Also, I wonder if these people think the jets give a shit what every other team thinks of them. The jets need this type of shit talking badass culture to turn this franchise around. Its funny nobody had a problem with the whole mangin-a approach we had a few years ago. Fuck that, ill take this regime any day. The NFL is not a popularity contest.

He doesn't. Some jerk off reporter who had the luminescence to remember his tirade from last year, had the aptitude to ask hi about it, knowing the predictable response.

Which..had he merely given an opinion would have been fine.

But asking what a premier coach in the league, who BTW happens to own a ring, has done to merit the ability to trash talk is as retarded as trying to insult someone with the temerity to point that out.

I don't know if LeBeau is even the best Steelers defensive coach of our time. I think I'd lean towards Dom Capers. He did a good job with Green Bay's defense last year and previously excelled as an assistant coach with the Stars (USFL), Saints, Steelers, and Jaguars.

But, yeah, Brooking good. Rex Ryan better. I won't call him great till he wins a league title as a head coach (or DC if he fails to win with the Jets and then goes back to being a DC somewhere).
