After reading this I thought to myself, didn't the Jets accomplish more last seaason then the Cowgirls did in the last 5 seasons or so?
Like against the Vikings, Keith? Oh no...you menstruated over that as well...and lost too, right? This sounded like $#!t after you complained about Favre beating your @$$. Stop sucking reporters c0Ck$ to get in the papers. LOL..He's won three playoff games since his rookie season, one more than this squad did last season...and he's talking about what they've done? Can someone check this man for concussions...?
this coming from the same bitch that was pissin' and moaning on the field while his team was getting their asses handed to them by the Vikings towards the end of last season? suck a dick Keith Brooking
No, they didn't. The Cowboys won 2 more games, their division, and advanced in the playoffs last year.
heh u initially wrote 'just as far as the Jets did' w/e who cares what Keith Brooking has to say about the Jets?
With a rookie QB? Did they field the number one overall defense, or rushing attack? No. As I pointed out...Brookings managed one more playoff win since his rookie year, than this team did last season (the first under this regime)..so in one year, they've done more in the league than Brookings has since his rookie season.
All that matters is how far you go in the playoffs and the Jets went further. You can throw record and division out the window when you reach the playoffs. Pats won the division too, do you think they would have rather won the division and get blown out in the wildcard game, or be a wildcard team and win?
Brooking resides somewhere in the Georgia woods. He likes Garth Brooks records. He doesn't like any of that dadgum cussin'. Should the Jets and Cowboys meet in the Super Bowl, Brooking will be fixin' to put a lickin' on Jets runners and receivers on account of Rex Ryan's hostilities.
They were 7th in rushing and number 2 overall on offense. Defensively they allowed less than a point per game more than the Jets. You act like they were terrible, but the reality is they were one of the best teams in the league.
Hey Brooking! Stop talking so much trash before the game. What have the Cowboys done in the last 10 years? They didn't win one playoff game and this was before they even made the playoffs. LYRICS below the video. This is all we need! This is all we need! We gonna keep hittin' them! We gonna keep hittin' them! They might get back up... We're gon' hit 'em again And when they're barely hanging on When they're about to go home to momma We're gonna hit 'em in the mouth We gonna "bloody" they nose We're gonna run em to the ground Hold up, holdup. I need all of you now, I need all of you. Then we're gonna STOMP ON 'EM!
That was not the question I asked. I did not say they were terrible. His question was 'what have they done in the league' the only coherent answer is...more than he has.
Why exclude his rookie year? Oh, because it goes against your argument. Besides that, playoff wins are a shitty measurement of an individual player in the ultimate team sport. For the record, I like Ryan and I don't really like Brooking, but he's right. The Jets really haven't proven much yet. They have all the potential in the world, but so have the Cowboys for the last 5 years and they haven't won anything either. You have to prove it on the field.
btw who edits the nypost? "I'm a show-me guy, before you go out there and talk the smack like their talkin' it. But to each his own; everybody's got a boat and that boat's gotta float, I guess, so if that's the way he wants to do it, that's fine."
Different strokes for different folks. He's entitled to his opinion too. Personally I think that when you are trying to overcome decades of darksider/SOJ mentality, you need to have a confident, balls to the wall coach, that's why he's such a good fit here. If he were replacing Belichick in NE, then maybe it isn't such a good idea. We may not win it all, but at least we expect to now.
Not at all. Then you have to include Rex's career. I didn't think it fair to include Brookings Super Bowl appearance as a rookie with Rex Ryans Super Bowl RING as Dline coach in 2000. But hey...if that your argument..have at it. Actually, the simple fact is, Brookings saying anything about a coach whose units have outperformed him his entire career, is ludicrous...but..whatever...
HUUUUUGE difference... Brooking was a player in his rookie year, the same role he has had since. Ryan was a lower level assistant in 2000, a COMPLETELY different role. It's like saying Matt Millen was a better GM than Tannenbaum because of his Super Bowl rings as a player.
