I tried to find out if/when Jets Stadium will be offering stadium tours, and all I can find is on the New Meadowlands website, a little blurb that they will offer tours when the stadium is finished (which it is now). I am generally able to make it to one game a year and I'd like to see the place a little more than just from my seat. If the answer is buried in a thread somewhere, I apologize. Anyone know when they offer tours?
What kind of tour are you looking for? One with a guide that breaks down where everything is or a walk through? If you are a season ticket holder you can call your rep and have he or she show you around. If you are looking for something more, sorry I can't help you. I find that reading through the guide that came with our season tickets a night before the game helps a whole lot. After a couple of games you should be able to give your own tours of the place.
I was wondering if they did tours where they go behind the scenes, take you into non-public areas, etc. (with a tour guide). I've been to a few stadiums that do that when games aren't being played. I've been to Citizens Bank Park and Fenway Park, who do this for $15-$20 or so per person. Got to see the locker room (couldn't go in it though), private suites, etc. They may not do that at the Meadowlands yet or at all. Just curious. I'm not a season ticket holder. I usually am able to make it to 1 game a year.
Yea I know what you mean like they do at yankee Stadium. I do no think they are doing that as of now but they really should. Yankee stadium does it went in the dug out and all thought it was cool!! $20
They used to do it at the old Giants Stadium. A good friend of mine was one of the guides. He gave the final tour of Giants Stadium the day before the final Sunday night Jets game. I took a few of my neighbors to it that hadn't seen the tour before. It was cold that afternoon. When they tore the old place down, they fired all the guides. My friend asked if they were going to hire them back for tours when the new place opened, and he was told they didn't know....and that a new company owned the new stadium. It used to be the NJSEAA ran the tours and operated the stadium, now it is the Jets and Giants. If I hear anything about new tours, I'll post it here.
