SNY .... they just cut it off 3 minutes into his Press Conference though while he was talking....wtf. Hopefully it'll be up again soon or on www.newyorkjets.com
Yeah I only caught the end about LT and Greene.. what did he say about the 2's and 3's? Hard Knocks should be very interesting this week..
I know one of the fieldgoals Folk made looked like it barely made it in. He definitely has me antsy, but 2/3 from respectable range cant complain too much. LT showed some nice flashes even if it got called back. Incredibly excited about how Sanchez looked. Definitely felt like we should draft a safety next year unless they think Warren will be ready to go. Smith looked mediocre, I really dont know if I can say I think hes an upgrade over Rhodes. Alot to get excited about though how easily we manhandled the giants on both sides of the ball while missing our best player. The giants ground game while healthy got 1 yard on 7 carries vs us, and barring that lucky 51 yard dinky pass to Bradshaw Eli was useless.
He said that the 1's looked good and did what he expected/ Then he said he was very dissapointed in the 2's and 3's, especially the 2's. And that the Jets have to rely on them and they let him down and still have a lot of work to do.
I don't think the safeties looked bad.. Ihedigbo looked good on a few blitzes and I thought Pool played well. The only real problem was Lowery, Coleman and the other backup corners getting destroyed. And a lack of depth at linebacker was pretty apparent. When the real players were on the field, the defense looked great.
Precautionary............ All the teams are being more precautionary with head injuries. Besides that the Jets have 2 games in five days, it isn't worth it.
Thanks.. like I said, should make for an entertaining episode of Hard Knocks seeing Rex rip into those guys. We really, really, really can't afford any big injuries this year.
That's what I figured. I asked some people around me, but none of them even seemed to know who Rob Turner was. Some idiot even told me Nick was "holding out"
How did Kyle Wilson look? I didn't get to watch the game I was listening on the radio and I didn't hear his name much so I guess that's good news......
I think he was only thrown at once. Seemed like he was giving a HUGE cushion - brought back memories of David Barret standing 15 yards off the LOS. Hopefully they can get him up a little closer to the line.
