Tony is entitled to his opinion about this. I think he is wrong. But thats my opinion. Saying "fuck" is not wrong or even necessarily a bad idea, simply because Tony is offended by it. Fuck Tony. He was a good football coach and I was sad when his son died and he seems like a good person, but that doesn't mean Tony sets the standards for what other people can say. In my opinion Tony's answer was dumb and presumptuous. The bottom line is that Rex uses his vocabulary to the full extent in order to communicate with his team and motivate his players to perform. Rex is a dynamic pressence who love to swear and cuss and say exactly what he thinks. Thus far Rex has proven that he is a damned good football coach - thanks in part ot his skills as a communicator, Rex's players love him and his teams play the game 120% all the time. If Tony doesn't like people who use salty language - good for Tony. But recommending that Goodell try to put the clamps on Coach Ryan is a really sleazey thing for Tony to do. I lost respect for dungy w/that assinine comment.
[QUOTE/]Now here's a model for winning football.[/QUOTE] They're looking at Elmo like hes a stripper shooting ping pong balls out of her ass
Hell no, You go live on the other side of the island. Given time one of the two will snap and kill the other. You come back and shoot the second!
dungy has guts for speaking his mind. he has an opinion and it's pretty critical and he gave it anyway. good for him! now let's all take turns putting peyton's jaw to the curb and stomping on the back of his head. just for fun.
So Dungy became a rich man playing and coaching in a violent sport (one that we all love, mind you), but it's not OK to drop an f-bomb? This is the South Park Principle. It's OK to show all kinds of violence on TV, as long as you don't say any naughty words...
Maybe if Tony Dungy spent less time preaching about foul language and praying at a Church and more time taking care of his family his son wouldn't have off'd himself.
Reminds me of Bill Cosby reacting to Eddie Murphy's stand up act when he first became huge. Eddie's response was "tell Bill I said to have a Coke and a smile and shut the fuck up!!".
I agree. Hell, if I were a GM, I'd never hire Jimmy Johnson, but I'd admit he's a hell of a coach. I think he's just saying he doesn't like the way Rex does things. He's not saying he's an awful coach.
yeah, i'm not getting into that at all. tony comes off a bit sleazy when he starts trying to impose his own personal view about profanity as if it was some kind of NFL rule. Thats BS. Tony should know better and its kind of a sleazy comment from mr. holier than thou. he is also something of a hypocrite in that he thinks its okay for mike vick the dog torturer to play in the NFL, but suddenly Rex shouldn't say Fuck???? Go fuck yourself Tony, you hypocrite.
No you shoot Tony Dungy and then beat Herm Edwards to death with the butt whilst screaming at him "Clock management, take the knee field goal positioning f-ing Doug Brien. You didn't play to win the game, I drank the Kool Aid and there ain't no bus for you to get on you piece of shit" That's a lot of repressed feeling
