Pretty amusing article haha, mentions all the Jet haters this off-season and such, if you know some Jet Haters post your own here as well! http://turnonthejets.com/2010/08/15/your-2010-guide-to-jets-haters/ Each and every one of these are so true, it's actually pretty funny And to add our goal isn't to talk about your team on a constant basis our goal is to Lead the league in wins
The guy's name is Joe Caporoso, I just looked him up but He's a full time college student / Football player that blogs on several websites I got it from the Daily links on the Jetsblog, pretty interesting article seeing how much unneeded exposure and hate the Jets got this off-season. Ah fuck, his profile came up on Bleacher Report
Haha when I saw that he was a BR dude, I immediately thought to myself, aww fuck everyone here hates BR (I do too it's bullshit), I figured it was a pretty cool article to read however, especially during a boring Monday at work Dude asking Dez if his mother was a prostitute was unnecessary and absolutely a sign of disrespect like c'mon let's be serious here. Granted he apologized, but it wasn't needed for him to ask Dez that very question. But it's over and done with
in the business world, its all it takes. Asking something like that is fuel for anyone. This is a Bleacher Report article, so it was written by a fellow fan.
It is a nice guide to who hates this team, and how dumb they sound when they do it. No one in that list makes any compelling arguments. Its all bullshit.
I can't believe he has a job. He writes like a high school student. I don't care what he writes, but it's how he writes. I can do a better job, so can a high school student.
I usually check out some other message boards from time to time (Gamefaqs just to check on games and such when I'm bored) Under the early responses, I've seen those excuses at least a hundred times during the off-season, the most being the LT "Washed up" one like seriously how dumb are you to not think of Greene when bringing up this argument. The Colts game also comes to mind a lot as well, but no excuse there like Herm said you play to win the game Yeah I'm pretty sure the man was hired just to write hatred articles on the Jets, whoever is in charge of approving his articles seriously needs to rethink his career, because I could easily do better then that, so whose worse him or Cimini I'll give them both the honor of being horrible beat writers
If I can weigh in on the Giants' fan part... I think it's stupid to act like the character of the Jets' franchise has been classless just because you don't like the way they are acting now. Are Ryan & his boys outspoken? Yes. Can it be perceived as obnoxious? Absolutely. But that doesn't give you carte blanch to knock the entire franchise as classless. What bothers me most as a Giants' fan is when Jets' fan act like them having a better season last year makes me jealous or somehow worries me. I have no problem with people enjoying the success of their team, but don't act like I should be happy for you. Many Jet fans I have encountered recently are obnoxious about the success of their team and THAT pisses me off more than anything a Jets' player has said. Having said all that, I firmly believe that a large percentage of the asswipe Jet fans I've encountered are new fans that only started liking the team because they just had a good season and that they will vanish as quickly as they came should the team falter. I do agree that a lot of Giants' fans have antagonistic stances on the Jets' recent success (though I want to point out that many of those Giants' fans only started rooting for the team during the 2007 playoff runs), and I think a lot of the WFAN callers fall in to that category. I think that BOTH fan bases need to reach the understanding that taking joy in your teams' success does not require you taking joy in your crosstown rivals' failure; if it does then you really need to question how you feel about your team and competition in general.
I live in the city and I don't encounter too many die hard Giants fans. The ones I do know actually like the Jets, so I never hear obnoxious rants about how the team is classless. Then again I'm almost thirty, so if I run into someone in my age group or older acting like that, then holy shit I feel bad for them.
Tonight it requires taking joy in your rivals failure. Come back tomorrow to talk about getting along.
haha so pumped for a rivalry game? trash talking too! Sorgi and Clemens will light up the scoreboard tonight!
Some Jet fans are bandwagoners? I'd think we'd have to win a Super Bowl this century for that to be a real issue.
I really think it depends who you're dealing with... All of my Giant fan friends have a playful rivalry with those of us who are Jets fans... yet, when the Giants and the Patriots were in the Super Bowl... just about every Jets fan was cheering the Giants on big time... we just hate the Patriots so much (it helps that the most abnoxious annoying one out of us is a Patriots fan). By the same token, my experiences with these same people is that they don't have any of the obnoxious tendencies that other Jets fans are having to deal with. I think its really about who you know.
