Revis wants 160m, Ryan gets a fraction. If you were forced to choose and could only pick one who would take?

    great question.

right now gotta go with the HC of the NYJ tho. if revis strings a few years together like last year the question becomes a lot harder. on the other hand i seem to remember a certain mangenius so dubbed after his first year coaching so really the jury should be out until either or both can really prove they're not one year wonders.

From like a skill relative to position, Revis not by a ton
But from a leadership perspective, Ryan by a mile

If Ryan was a defensive coordinator only, I'd agree with the first assertion. As a head coach, I don't think Ryan is close to the best in the game, certainly not ready to make that conclusion after just a year.

The only player in the league that might be worth more than a quality coach is probably Peyton Manning.

For a short term/few years Revis.

But over a longer period easily rex due to the impact hed have building the team via his attractive personality and how he has transformed the mentality of an entire fanbase

Also, the answer is Rex far and away. Last year was his first year with Revis, but he's had top 5 defenses in the NFL for the past several years. He doesn't need Revis to do what he does.

I can't see comparing a skilled player to a skilled mind. I think you have to go with Revis.

I love Rex as much as the next guy, but in Baltimore he totally had one of the best d lines in nfl history, one of the best MLBs in nfl history, an absolute monster in Suggs @ OLB, and probably the best play making safety in the nfl of the last decade plus with him.

Hell 2 of our best players were fricken BACKUPS on that team.

Id give Rex FAR more credit for the impact he had on our defense last year, than he did on the Ravens.

This is like asking what is more important to kill someone a gun or a bullet. The question makes no sense.

Whats more important the knife or the hand that wields it?

Jim Leonhard and Bart Scott were huge parts of the Ravens 2008 playoff run. They both were starters in the playoffs, Bart started the whole year while Jim played a lot of it.

Uh no, when any of the Ed Reeds, Ray Lewis's, Terrell Suggs or Ngata's of the world got hurt, sometimes several at once, he still had a top ranked defense.
