Man... I'm jealous. All I did was go back to Jersey twice this summer. That's not a vacation... now Punta Cana, St Kitts, Ocho Rios..... those are vacations.

Wow... that's some big bucks. Last time we went to Jamaica we stayed at Hedonism II in Runaway Bay. (The perks of being married to an ex pornstar)

Its actually not that bad...they offer 65% off all the time and you can go for a week including airfare for under $3000. Not too bad for all inclusive. Now Hedonism would be better if only I could get the wife to go for that.

Schwartz has STFU after realizing he & his client were going to lose badly in the court of public opinion. The next thing that should happen is Revis should fire Schwartz for his douchebaggery. Then perhaps Revis can get back on the field w/a contract that will take care of him and his family in grand style for the rest of his life.

It was awesome...we actually stayed at their Royal Caribbean resort but spent a lot of time at the Montego Bay one, which is just down the street. The MB has a bigger beach and is more active than the RC one. Are you staying at the Montego Bay one?

They both have a pub called Cricketeer and its the place to go to at night. That is where you should watch the monday night game plus they do get the Miami local channels so you'll have football to watch on Sunday.

The food is great there. I really like the fish, shrimp and Rack of Lamb. If you get a chance do the Catamaran Island Vibes Cruise and the Appleton Rum Estate tour. With the rum tour you actually drive through the mountains & see the real Jamaica. Its an all day trip. The catamaran cruise takes you snorkeling, then to margaritaville, and then you crusie the caribbean and party.

Since this is a Revis thread I'll add that I hope he signs soon.

I'm just wondering...Does this team really suck that bad?

We're sitting here pissing and moaning over one player...(a really great one to be sure...but...one)

Prior to last year...the guy running the defense has done pretty well without the services of number 24.

Then we brought in Cromartie who has as much physical potential as Mevi$ (possibly MORE), and drafted a guy that's better than the 2nd CB (we had 4) from last year.

so..is that really where we are as fans ????

Mevi$ has now become the savior (or ruination) of the franchise, and not the mastermind that's been doing it at the same level for a much longer period of time ????

Personally...I think Mevi$... given the state of the roster...is a luxury...and one that is currently pricing himself out of the market .....

Did Mevi$ have potentially the best year a CB has ever had against insane competition.....

    Clearly.

But...half of that is the organization he was playing in. And they're better across the board than they were last year.

We're a lot better with Revis than without there's no questioning that. While we're all pretty positive Cro is gonna be a beast in this defense it's not a given. Wilson is a rookie and will have his rookie struggles. Yeah the team is really good but we're a LOT better with Revis because not only is the best player on this team, he's one of the best players in the league

I agree with you, but thats the thing. He is a luxury to a Super Bowl caliber team. With Cromartie and Wilson looking good, where are the QB's going to throw it? Where are the RB's going to run with Jenkins, Scott and Harris in the middle? Can the QB even throw it towards a QB or will Pace/Taylor get to him first? This defense will be scary and Revis just makes it that much tougher.

    Tougher undeniably.

Weaker than last year's number one overall without him...?

    Probably not.

By all accounts the offense is markedly improved over last year, putting more pressure on opponents.

    The defense is also improved....

We're almost at a point where Mevi$ is asking for ridiculous $$$$ so we can accumulate style points.

I disagree with some of the things mentioned here. The biggest reason why we couldn't hold the lead against the Colts last season was because Manning picked apart our defense. We needed to upgrade our secondary with more competent man cover corners. This game showed that we need to have more than 2 corners that can cover. Do you really want to see Drew Coleman as our nickle back? And as good as Wilson may be, he's a rookie and will definitely make mistakes this season.

Besides what U mentioned our PR did not exist in the 2nd half of that game. U know 1,000 Mississippi, 2,000 Mississippi so on & so forth. If you have have a PR that can at least pressure the QB naturally the pressure on the DBF lessens as well

Sandals is always saying 65% off with Free nights. Yet their prices are always the same.
I got mairred at Sandals Grande Ochio Rios before I knew better. While Sandals is nice it is highly over priced compared to other resorts.
Since our marriage we have visited the Carribean about 10 times in last three years because we figured out the secrets of travel. Can easily find trips now for 2 to all inclusive resorts with airfare for a week between $1000 to $1500.

good places to look is cheapcarribean (always has specials) vacation store of miami can get you $600 a night rooms for a $100.
Also you cannot beat Spirit Air and their $9 fare club. During their specials we actually got round trip tickets for two to Montego Bay once for total of $81.

Agreed, it was definitely a combination of both. Manning had all day to throw back there. I'm hoping Jason Taylor can help this D get to the QB faster.

Which is why we don't have to be as dominant on D as we were last year. If our D falls to top five and our offense just jumps to top 15 then we're golden.

You can't give average QB's all day... with Manning it was deadly. If I wasn't a Jet fan it would have been a thing of beauty watching him operate on our D like a surgeon.
