TG - Thanks for the updated sig. That's a great line...

At least we have LW to thank for that wonderful hit. LW will always be remembered for hitting Clam Chowder like a truck on i95.

[Neither Belichick nor Brady has taken the bait this summer as far as returning fire at Ryan. But Maroney couldn't resist -- at least a little bit -- after a question about watching the Jets' "Hard Knocks" premiere last night appeared to set him off.

"I don't care what they do," he said defiantly. "Me watching them? How is that going to help us?"

Funny Belichick (Bilacheat) NOW feels like watching the Jets will not help him. Wonder if he chose that quote with his tounge in cheek?

This article reeks of irony. These two are saying that talk means nothing and that they couldn't care less about the Jets, yet, they're expressing themselves..in an article..about the Jets. Shouldn't they have just not responded at all since talk means nothing?

And the last line, from Maroney, is absolutely moronic. I guess humor and getting work done are mutually exclusive? I guess the presence of camera crews magically makes Rex and Co funny? If the cameras weren't there - like they weren't last year - I guess Rex would never joke around?

Hah, witty joke about 'watching' other teams; however, I'm pretty sure that quotation comes from Maroney.

My lack of reading comprehension again gets the best of me again. I re-read and it was Maroney's quote, not BB's.

Which, ironically enough..Bart Scott said was one of his objectives...getting people to think about something other than their job.

But, but, but the Jets ONLY made the playoffs because the Colts and Bengals laid down. Blah, blah, blah...

It's all they have. All the fins have is that they beat us twice. Big deal, both teams eagerly would've traded seasons with us. Been a LONG time since that was the case...

Hey can someone confirm that Maroney has "Fragile, handle with care!" stitched into his jersey?

this board is over the top with premature talk of how great the jets are. most of last season people were turning on t-rex, sanchez and the whole team. now, a couple of wins in the playoffs and some think we're going to talk our way into the superbowl.

if i remember correctly, we didn't win the division, got swept by the dulphins and didn't play all that great during much of the season.

there's going to be a awful lot of whining on this board if the jets don't turn this thing around over night. so far, paper champs is all i've seen and read about on this board. they actually have to step up and win before annointing them with greatness, which they've done absolutely nothing to this point to have earned it!

this is exactly how this board was reacting after mangini's first season, and i clearly remember how that turned out. ganggreen was the joke of community boards.

i'm optimistic, but been there, done that. better to wait till they actually do win something, like the division for starters.

The Patriots are still the team to beat in our division. Now, they are nowhere near as strong as they once were, and I believe this is going to be a down year for them (8-8-ish), but until we can compete with them consistently, they are the king of the hill.

As long as Sanchez plays under control, we should not have an issue with the Pats. Their O is still solid, but their D is severly lacking.

Cant wait for the regular season to start. First Rex's former team and then the team we must go through to win the division.

i don't know how you can make them an 8-8 team with all the talent still on that team and brady 2 years back from major knee reconstruction. belichick has used a lot of draft picks for rebuilding that defense and i don't see a decline in that team until they actually decline. 8-8 is wishful thinking, kind of the same wishful thinking i've been reading all over this jets board.

how quickly this board turns sour will not surprise me in the least if the jets don't make this magical turn around many on this board have claimed as gospel. the jets couldn't even beat the dulphins last season, never mind win a division or superbowl as some blowhards are proclaiming.

i'm hopeful and encouraged, but not a believer until they actually do something other than talk and proclaim themselves champs on a bus.
