Last year there were about 10,000 posts proclaiming the virtues of "Revis Christ", now its hard to find anybody defending the guy. Mevi$ is apparently his new nickname.

I think the parties mutual agreement to STFU is a positive sign. I presume they agreed on that b/c they recognize their shared interest in getting a deal done. That is a positive sign. They need to get Revis and Schwartz in the room w/Mr. T & Johnson and get this done. If they refuse to sit down, then its time to move on and forget about it for awhile.

Revis is turning into Hollywood Hogan when he joined the NWO... his agents Hall and Nash. Maybe when he returns to camp some fat trailer trash fan can jump the fence and attempt to get Revis only to be pummeled by Coleman and Lowery. I wonder if people will throw their 8 dollar beers at him along with waded up papers.

He's owed 1 mil this year, his previous guarantees were 5 (2011),15 (2012).

    he's 24.

extension for 7 years 100 mil. 25 mil as sb.
He pockets the SB that gives....
26,5,15 = More than Aso over the first 3, 75 mil over 7 averages a little over 10 mil (plus the SB puts him around 13)

The cap number in 2012 will be high, so you probably want to move some of the 15 to 2011.

Now, the Jets have reported 10 years at 120, so I have to think Mr T. is close to my number.

That's the last reasonable threshold. Camp Mevi$ should be forced to allow substantial give backs should some 'new' dispute arise....(like paying back the SB...)

    Hahaha.

I was trying to continue the Biblical allusion. And I was hoping someone would photoshop a picture of Judas' head on Revis -- of course, holding his 30 pieces of silver.

Everything can be explained by old school wrasslin and Star Wars....

Taylor coming to the Jets was like Lando Calrissian selling out his boys to Vadar in Cloud City (but then again that sorta came full circle when he and Wedge blew up the Death Star)

To be fair, both nicknames are applicable. Revis Christ refers to his actions on the field, Mevi$ to his refusal to accept a $12 million per season deal. I wouldn't argue with either one.

I say we fix the endorsement deal. I know Woody's not on the board at Johnson & Johnson, but he's got to have enough pull to get Revis as the new face of baby shampoo.

(Open invitation extended to photoshop artists)

This I like, and they should sell it to him exactly like that. Even WITHOUT his signing bonus weren't taken into consideration, $10.7 million per would make him the highest paid non-Aso corner in the league. Add in the signing bonus and he's suddenly getting better than Aso money for the duration of Aso's contract. Nice work.

I never would've thought Revis would be a diva. Seemed like a humble guy. I'm just gonna call him "Devis" or "Divas" now.

Funny I heard Floridouche on the radio yesterday mentioning that San Diego was taking one for the league but not giving Jackson a big contract but ripped the Jets for the way they handled the Revis thing yet he never once mentioned that they have the same agents. Amazing....

I know you have. I haven't seen the part about Asomugha, though. I apologize if I missed that before.
