Yeah I was bummed to see him go. The kid had heart and ability. It always sucks to see a guy like that go when his body just won't let him pull it off. On the flip side of the ILB battle though, where the hell has Reamer been? I'd think this makes his chances better of hanging on.
Basped was a hybrid outside linebacker. Cory Reamer, Tim Knicky and Brashton Satele are the only UDFAs fighting for an inside linebacker spot. I think if Satele stays healthy, he'll make the team as a special teams linebacker. Kenwin Cummings and Lance Laury will make the team because of their special teams play.
we all feel for the guy, it's a terrible thing to have your dream crushed. i know i have to deal with it with humor or I'd go crazy.
I loved Basped, I watched him play in college all time. It's a damn shame, it sounded like Ryan like the kid a lot too.
I knew nothing of him before last night, but I really felt bad for him. You could see he was willing to do whatever he needed to do to play football, but it broke his heart when his dream was crushed due to his physical health. That other dude that got cut I didn't feel bad for. Sorry man, you weren't good. Don't get all pissed off about it. At least someone offered to help you catch on with another league.
Don't know if this make me weird or not but i felt so bad for the kid i went and found him on facebook. Sent him a message about how many people were/are pulling for him.
