It's funny, I was saying something like this last night. If we have a good season, and next season goes forward, we're going to have an awesome free agency!!!!
One thing about Rex is w/ all the credit he gives his players in interviews he often appears to think EVERY PLAYER is great and suggests maybe he's not the greatest talent evaluator(IE too much of a nice guy). But that is NOT the case. When someone doesn't belong or isn't getting the job done he has a quick hook. We saw that w/ all the punters he brought in last offseason, some of the special teamers last year after the second Miami game and now Kia. Supporting your players and building them up is great..but you also have to recognize when somebody isn't gonna cut it and not be afraid to give the hook.
Throughout the episode it seemed like the Jets organization was using it as a way to talk to Revis. especially when they were eating outside and driving home from diner. I see them showing alCROtraz doing great along with Kyle Wilson (that guy needs a nickname) to not show weakness and bend revis to tell agents to settle
That's true, but he was also nice enough to personally shake Basped's hand as he got on the elevator, cause the kid got a tough break in life with those knees. He came so close, only to have his body fail him. Rex was nice to that guy.
Yeah, I thought that was great last night. Watching him immediately (in TV time) know that Kia wasn't going to work out really spoke to how well Rex knows and controls his roster.
Follow the scheme of the other CBs? Don't you think we should watch him in coverage against NFL receivers before we start calling him The Kyland?

That was my favorite part of the show, Rex screaming at the camera guy "Please tell me you got that!" Just a real guy loving football like a kid, you have to appreciate that so much over the Mangini approach like they're building bombs. Also, Namath sitting in on the offense/QB film session was great. He adds a lot, not just an old guy making an appearance. Some things don't change over time, like timing in the passing game, I like how he's included in that. They don't have a lot of resources like him but I'm glad they include Joe, they should.
Yeah I really felt bad for him too. The other dude....not at all. If you are fighting for your life to make the team, you DO NOT go out drinking with the guys. You study that fucking playbook. Ass had it coming.
