That 18 million in 2013 sounds a lot more like the QB number then the CB number. Where did that number come from?
Yeah, but the Jets never seem to be a team that trades down. They seem to have no interest in that at all.
There it is - as most of us assumed, he hasn't backed off the asshole Aso deal. Not only that he want TEN YEARS at that rate. Completely ludicrous demands. I wouldn't even bother responding to his agent, I'd tell Revis straight up he better find someone else to represent him or he's not getting a deal from any team.
It's why Johnson was so angry the other day I am sure. They basically didn't respond and when he did it was to a reporter and not his "team".
The 8/10 show has Woody on it talking Revis (not sure if it's been posted here yet). http://espn.go.com/new-york/radio/archive?id=2693958 Direct Download
It is absolutely ridiculous. If this is true, then Revis hasn't budged one bit since this whole thing started. This is absurd.
That's the problem if you're considering a trade. The well has been poisoned. No team is going to want to trade for him and then have to deal with those ridiculous numbers. We're screwed (and so is Revis) unless he comes back down to earth.
theres a reason that nnamdis deal was only three years ... if revis' agents cant see that, then let him sit out the season at some point he has to take responsibility for the people that are representing him ... i still doubt that he lets their advice lead to him missing games
In regards to Revis' rookie deal, I know he had a buyback that could make him a FA after '10 then the Jets could buy back the final 2 years to keep him. If he sits out this coming season would he have met those incentives to buy back the final 2 years and become a FA?
tanny better tell him that the jets will just keep ignoring him and he can sit out the rest of his career or get his head out of his ass... let him retire if he still wants all that money because the jets wont give it to him.
Even for 3 years it was retarded. Yea, let's do it for 10. Fuck these guys (agents) right in their faces.
Good point so he doesn't really have any leverage other than sitting out as long as possible and hoping the Jets cave to his demands.
Yeah, I think they need to give him more $, but if that's true, he's not getting $160 mil. No wonder Woody is so reluctant to give in.
Or at least let the $$ amount offered get as high as possible before signing. Ultimately, the Jets can keep playing if they want, Revis can't without signing. I really wonder if he's using that ridiculous $$ amount, knowing he won't get it, but it will drive up what the Jets offer.
