Yeah, I sort of agree with you there. Roy has been shit since he moved to Dallas. Miles has one good year, albeit a pro bowl season. Dez is a rookie. Not every rookie will have a Randy Moss type rookie season. And Jason Witten is a TE. Jets have a better WR corps than Dallas and the Pats. We have Holmes, Edwards, Cotchery and Coles. Three #1 type WRs and Coles. I would say we make a case for being #1 WR corps in the league.
I don't think cotchery is a number 1 guy. Maybe on the rams. Braylon and Holmes certainly can be though. The only thing that prevents me from putting them among he elite is that they've both lead the league in drops within the last 3 years. Braylon damn near cost the jets a the game against SD in the playoffs.
What? Nothing about the awesome offensive power of the Charger WR who will out TALL everyone??? Cotch statistically had 1 drop last year - 1. I don't care if you call him a #1, #2, or a #3WR - no one else in the league had fewer drops with at least 50 catches. So he can be a top flight consistent receiver on pretty much any team. Braylon was no where near tops in drops last year. He had that issue in 2008 with the browns, but he only had a few drops for '09. (Its on footballoutsider.com or something - look it up - I'm being lazy) Holmes was a super bowl MVP. There isn't much to argue that. Your TE is Keller. No explanation necessary Coles adds to your depth. Definitely not a #1 receiver now, but is a good receiver, hits like a truck, tough in the slot, and could easily be a #2 or #3 on lesser teams. Should I bother to throw in our Pre-Season MVP?

Seriously?! The Saints are #1. I understand the lack of respect because Drew Brees spreads it around, but most of y'all to not include them in the top 5 is ridiculous. I'll give you some info for the Saints starting 4: Marques Colston: We all know is a baller. If you look at stats alone, compare him to Brandon Marshall, who came into the NFL th same year. Colston has equivocal or better stats in ALL categories. Devery Henderson: He's a speedster who stretches the field, mostly. But in the past couple years he has become a very reliable WR, look at the tape. Robert Meachem: Do I need to say anything about this kid? He has struggled, but with each year he has been getting better and better. Again, look at the tape. Lance Moore: This guy is our #4. He could easily be a #2 on a lot of teams in the NFL. Because of injuries his stats were inflated in 08, but he is still a reliable route runner and receiver. Those are the names, do your own research. The Saints have the #1 receiving corp in the league.
Aw, that's sad. I was all set to defend the Saints' receivers before reading this laughable over-appraisal. The Colts have the most complete corps in the NFL, IMO. Reggie is Reggie, I believe Pierre Garcon is an elite player and Austin Collie is going to follow Peyton around like a lap dog until he's become Indy-Welker. Their skill sets fit together perfectly. Gonzalez is just a bonus.
Top 5 Corps (WR & TE): 1. Indianapolis (clearly) Other top 4: Minnesota, Green Bay, Dallas Cowboys and then either NYJ or Philly.
Green Bay, Minnesota, NY Jets, Dallas, NY Giants(Not trying be a homer either), Baltimore, and I'll go on a limb and say Houston's WR's are very very underrated.
Nah it's not being a homer. Nicks, Smith, and Manningham are gonna be really nasty this year. Throw in Barden in the redzone, and you've got yourself a nice little WR tangent going on.

I know you got the big names, but look at the numbers from last year: Bess: 76 catches for 758 yards Hartline: 31 catches for 506 yards Camarillo: 50 catches for 552 yards Edwards: 35 catches 451 yards Cotchery: 57 catches 821 yards Keller: 45 catches for 522 yards I will consider marshall and holmes a wash for now. I know you guys were the #1 rushing team, but we were 4 and our no-name guys essentially match the production of your guys.
The Jets passed the ball 393 times last year to Miamis 545. They also had a ROOKIE qb with little college experience.
No love for the Cardinals at all? Even without Boldin, they at least deserve a mention. Breaston should be solid this season IMO.
They'd be much more popular with Warner throwing the rock. Arizona is going to flop hard this year and the passing game is going to be one of the reasons why... no offense to their WR talent which is exceptional.
