Yeah they talked about that Emmit Smith thing last night on ESPN or SNY. Went 0-2 then Jerry Jones signed him. That still is not the issue, the issue is the amount of guaranteed money. They can't guarantee more in September then they can now.

We still have to see if he's even gonna hold out into the season. What's his agent supposed to say? "Well if we can't figure this thing out he's gonna come play anyway".

It's probably true, but the point is that none of it is "fully guaranteed"

    LOL...

Neil Scwarts actually responded to my email rant.....

He said "You know there is no Cap this Year right?"

I feel like these agents are kids playing a game - How can the Jets ever sign a player represented by Neil Schwartz again?????? How the Hell did Revis get tied up with this guy??????

I think Revis is being brainwashed and mis-managed.

With 3 years still on a deal you are basically trying to steal money from the other players.

At this point, I would be very happy trading him for a 1st and 2nd round pick and 2 servicable back ups.

Those exact words came out of Revis' mouth in his 06/10 press conference.

I actually agreed with Carton this morning. He said that it should just get to the point where Tanny just stops giving out proposals, stops calling Revis' agent and all that. Let them come to the Jets. Let them make the first move because nothing the Jets are doing is working at this point.

Heck, if Revis wants to risk wasting two years of his career not playing, let him. If he thinks he'll be the same player after not playing for two years (or get even close to as much money as he wants right now), then he's stupider than I thought.

People need to stop with the PFT links. Florio spins everything he can as hard as he can against the Jets. It's like watching Darrelle Revis' agents spin their dream propaganda campaign as the gospel.

He even said the Aso deal wasn't so bad the other day, because the Raiders would have had to franchise Aso for two years running if they hadn't guaranteed him the same amount of money in advance. Hello? The guarantees are the problem...

Revis has gone from my favorite Jet to my 2nd to least favorite Jet in only a couple months. His selfishness is sickening. I thought he was a winner and loved football. This is sad. Not to mention he has 3 years on his deal and could be playing for the most talented team in football. He is no star acting like this. However, if he shows up, my mind will change instantly. :)

Agreed ..they dont have their playin interest in mind ...just the $$. In relation to an article i read a few pages back from the Douche Ian Connor. If we should be paying Revis like the Yanks pay Jeter then we need to deal with a REAL agent! All these bum agents (Leon's/Revis') seem to have issues ...go get the proven respected agents to handle your business.
