Nice find Murrell. One thing about him, when he has been out there, is you hear them call his name. A player that one day will be the perfect backup and even produce. Nice post.
I was really impressed with him last year and have full confidence in him if Pace were to miss some time due to injury.
He made a really nice play at the G&W scrimmage, Saturday. Can't remember exactly, I think it was a tackle behind the LOS. I just remember thinking, "damn, this Westerman kid is really coming along".
Not proud to say..but coming from Rutgers...I always had in my mind that he was perhaps a slightly undersized LB. 255? I agree...I just remember even in preseason...his name being called quite a bit..and during the regular season...no real drop off when he did get some chances.
... nice read ... ... the more young guys who are immersed in rex's aggressive schemes the better our long term outlook! ... l_j_r
Wikipedia has him at 6'3", 265 lbs. His 255-pound weight might seem a little undersized, but his 6'3" physique is by no means undersized to play 3-4 OLB - to me at least.
It took Westy 1 game to get more career sacks than Gholston in his entire career. He's a great, versatile backup.
Might have been. I was on the 50 yard line, so I just barely caught the play, looking between players standing on the sideline.
Maybe it's just me but I think he's gained too much weight... He looked quicker earlier but by the EOS he was noticeably bigger... Look @ his preseason play & Sack in the Houston game... Then forward to the Final game vs Cincy. & his fumble recovery. I really like him and he looks like he can be a solid fill in @LB I just hope they don't make him gain just for the sake of gaining.
Would love to see this kid succeed. Ryan touted him last year and he looks to be coming along nicely. Give him some more time and he'll continue to make an impact.
