C'mon, you're smarter than that. Why did Carolina trade him to us?

Say it with me now: THEY. DID. NOT. WANT. HIM. ON. THEIR. TEAM. ANYMORE.

You're right...it was all Bob Sutton. Pettine and Rex were out back smoking cigars last season.

Now you're acting like a jackass.

The CS replaced a SUPERIOR PLAYER with lesser talent.

That ability exists without regard to who the player is. And with Cro, they have better talent to fill in than they had when Jenkins went down.

But Hey..as I said....you're already arguing against the guy who laid out and advocated for Revis to get 100 Mil.

Sadly, however...none of your arguments even include an honest observation of what the Staff did last year, How Baltimore (and WHO) built their D (Rolle and McAlister?!?!?!), or the fact that Revis HELD OUT FOR THIS CONTRACT. AND HAS 3 YEARS LEFT ON IT.

    Are you daft?

When speaking about Baltimore and talent acquisition...that's Ozzie.

    Go check their drafts.

Can we all just agree to ignore all of Hobbes' posts in this thread and move on already?

    You've got to be kidding.

Holmes = Run out of town.

Jenkins = wore out his welcome, but we paid a 3rd, and a fifth, plus close to 35 million dollors
    to get him.

But...I guess 'run out of town' is a relative term /sarcasm.

I'm a little concerned with Kyle Wilson. Rex said today that he is doing great and well ahead of schedule as a rookie. Does this mean he may ask for a new contract?

    No.
    Ozzie gets the players.Period.

And looking at their drafts for 2006-2009 show me where the emphasis on DB's is....

Don't try to argue with your betters. You can try to be sarcastic, BUT.at least bring a fact or two.

The Patriots traded Oakland a late round pick for Randy Moss because they didn't want him anymore. The Raiders basically gave him away.

Kris Jenkins was a Pro Bowl defensive tackle in Carolina - acquiring him for a 3rd and 5th rounder was a steal. The Panthers didn't want him anymore.

You clearly don't understand how trades work in this league.

    From Chris Carlin, SNY

Just spoke to someone close to Revis - he's not showing up for that Aug. 10th/free agency deadline tmw. Great stuff on @Loudmouths at 6-SNY

    and

At least he's not showing up without a new deal. "Free agency doesn't matter to him -- he wants to be a Jet for life."

He just signed his contract last week. If I missed the sarcasm, I apologize.

I said PAY HIM. 100 Mil. And laid it out....

You're the jackoff that jumped on my response to a 'what if he's a RFA and someone tenders him a first and third'

Search my posts. Not only are you being a douche, but now you're a liar as well.

a fact or two?.....you mean.....like Revis isn't important to the success of this defense...or Jenkins is irreplaceable, despite having the #1 Defense without him.....those kinds of facts?

I can't tap into my inner stupidity like that.....sorry.

No he doesn't, it expires after this season. Otherwise the whole argument about losing a year of experience toward free agency would be irrelevant.

The FO might buy it back, or they might not. As of right now, Revis is a FA at the end of the season.
