In order for him to sign an RFA tender it would have to meet his ridiculous Aso contract demands. I can only imagine one team who would do that and they already have Aso.
I could be wrong, but doesn't he become an RFA after the season? Either way, we can still tag him and agree on a long term deal. Tag value may even be lower than what he'd get as a long term contract.
Rex was fairly dismissive of him in the last presser. The question was something like .. - "If Revis holds out are you happy to start Wilson?" - Yes! :next question:
TheJetsStream BREAKING: Revis' agent met with Tannenbaum in Roscoe, NY on Friday. Presented Jets with offer. Awaiting response. #nfl #nyj (fingers crossed)
hopefully it's nothing outrageous.....this holdout has gone on long enough. I want Revis to land a hefty raise....but not at the cost of crippling the team for the future.
You would think that Revis' camp put together an offer that the Jets could accept...this has gone on for months and each side should be well aware of the other side's position. Revis' camp wouldn't waste their time on an unreasonable offer that the Jets wouldn't accept...at least you would think that's the case
I hope it's reasonable as well, but I have a feeling they are still too far apart in negotiations for this deal to be accepted by Tanny.
it's not like Revis is represented by Alvin the Shitmunk.......maybe they'll bridge the gap with this offer.....i choose to be optimistic on this one.
Oh wait, the tweet says the offer was presented on Friday. I think if it was something the Jets would have accepted, Revis would have been in camp this morning.
Yeah, it's more likely that the Jets are making a counter offer. Why can't all the big shots just sit in a freaking room and work this out the adults? Just put them in a damn room and it would be solved already.
