Of course Marshall will declare Bailey the best, they played together.

Bailey is being modest, he probably still believes he is the best, but he sees that Revis is at his level and will soon (if not already) be beyond it.

Champ was never modest before, lol.

He's certainly not going to start now. He's just being honest IMO.

He is clearly beyond it, revis' 2009 season was better than any Champ Bailey season.

    Leon Washington Tells Revis

    to learn from his situation
    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...n-to-revis-learn-from-my-situation/?related=1

We've mentioned more than once on PFT that Leon Washington's devastating leg injury has indirectly informed much of the Jets' players contract issues this offseason, especially that of Darrelle Revis.

It turns out that Washington has directly impacted Revis as well through conversation.

"All I've ever done with Darrelle is say, 'Look at my situation and be your own man and learn from it,' " Washington told the New York Post. "I didn't tell him what do to. I just told him how everything went down and I told him look at my situation and learn from it. I broke everything down for him. I gave him the details and specifics about my whole negotiation process."

Revis and Washington remain close and we're sure Washington would give him the same advice whether Rex Ryan had jettisoned Leon in the offseason or not. Revis is reportedly struggling with his decision to skip camp, but we doubt the holdout will end without a new deal.

"He's told me he really wanted to go [to camp]," Washington said. "He was really excited because the Jets have a good chance of going to the Super Bowl. What hurts him most is the fans are like, 'You should be out there.' But he has a family, too."

wtf his family eats goldbars for lunch and diamonds for dinner? I'm all for a player deserving his due but family's a lame excuse to want Aso's money.

Saying he wants the money for the pride which resembles his dominance in the position is a better reason.

What did leon say that was bad? Thse aren't normal people, they have a very small window to make as much as they can. They aren't making what we make, they have very short careers and can cut down on the quality of life after football. They need to make as much as they can when they are in their primes. Leon gambled and lost, now he's telling his friend to learn from his situation like a good friend should.

Guys, stop knocking Revis for wanting as much money as possible. That's his right. He's young and talented, so that means he's in a great position to make as much money as possible. This contract will likely be the last one he signs, so he's going to make it count.

If you were Revis, you'd do the exact same damn thing.

I really believe Leon was misled by his r'tard agent to believe something that wasn't actually true in regards to the offer that was made to him. Leon was made an offer that had the first year being $2.4 million (1st round tender price) in order to keep the 2010 cap mostly the same and then the contract escalated averaging over $4 million a year. Keels only ever referred to the first year as if that was the yearly average.

The 1st round tender price for the first year of an extension if fairly common.

I do hate his wife though.

Taco Bell has a cheap lunch special, someone should tell Revis. I'm kidding. He deserves more $$, hope they can work out something reasonable.

What Leon should tell Revis is to sign a fair deal before he goes to camp instead of trying to force more money than he's worth out of Tanny because that isn't happening. Unfortunately Leon was terribly misled by his clown agent.

Lol so we can thank Alvin Keels indirectly for this mess to?

Amazing how a players bad business management, in conjunction with experiencing a catastrophic injury, turns into the Jets great big white whale.............

    Isn't that special?
