Of course. But a team without a HoF QB is worse off than a team with one.

Rice had a veteran throwing the football to him in 2008 and did not produce. But with Favre as the QB he turned into a top level receiver. I don't think he'll drop back down to 2008 levels but there's no way he's any where near as dominant with Rosenfels or Jackson as the QB.

Gerhart was a good pick, but he's going to be replacing 11.5% of their 2009 offense. We haven't seen him play at the NFL level so we don't know how he will do.

Would Harvin have had the same impact on offense without Favre last year? I highly doubt it.

Hard to believe completely, but I guess we just have to see whos starting week 4,

I think Favre's ankle will heal and he will come back eventually. Just my opinion.

Not every player develops the same, most WRs take 2-3 years to develop and he broke out in year 3. I wouldn't call having Gus Frerotte an advantage for a young WR.

Minnesota goes back to Peterson's team, that's not a bad thing and that will open up the apss game for whoever is at QB.

What do you guys thing about retiring #4 at the Monday Night game and brining Brett in to honor him against his former team?

Completely agree. I think the same holds true for many of the Colts receivers that have come and gone since '98.

What's funny, is when you now look at Minnesota's offense, does it not very much so resemble our own?

    Talented WRs - check.
Young, bruising RB + plus potentially great backup relief - check.
    Talented receiving TEs - check.
Questions at QB play - check.

Yep, except a much better QB situation BY FAR.

same. He doesn't want to go to training camp.

Also, he brought this on himself, because Minny will still have to call him to make sure.

My point is he didn't develop well with Frerotte how do you think he's going to do with two very mediocre QBs? He'll do better but not nearly as well as he did last year with Favre.

Minnesota will go back to being Peterson's team like they were in 2008 when they went 10-6 in a sub par division. Now every other team in the division is much improved plus they have a difficult out of division schedule. Plus, Peterson still has his fumbling issues.

Frerotte wasn't a terrible QB. There was a time when he was one of the best backups in the league. But my point is the two they have now isn't better than Frerotte was.

Bullshit. He will light it up in the regular season especially early on, then start to cool off a bit towards December. Then in January, late in a close playoff game he will loose his head and throw another one of those "WTF WAS HE THINKING LOL" picks, once again costing his team a chance at a Super Bowl. This shit is like clock work and I can't believe anyone is taking this seriously after the way last year ended.
