I don't care if my kicker is good at making tackles either...What gives you the assumption that I think Feely is awesome for tackling guys on ST?

Folk has alot to prove...Like Rex said in this quote
"Two years ago he's a Pro Bowl kicker and last year, he struggled," Ryan said. "It is a bit of a risk, but I think the benefits we got (outweigh it). ... He definitely has the ability. It's just go out there and get it done. I think we'd all feel better if he was 100 percent on those practice kicks."

I'll hope for the best like everyone else here...

Jay Feely went 1-3 in the AFCCG in the dome. He's an average kicker, nothing special.

So he could Doug Brien us out of the postseason in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Or he could Jay Feely us out of the postseason in the conference round of the playoffs.

Even though it was mid-range kicks, can't complain if he is 5 for 5.

This is a week thread...who wants a kicker to fail? He's a jet and needs support. Heard today he was 5 for 5. I've seen the guy in his prime and he has a hell of a leg. Back off and post something positive. Nobody wants to hear this trash.

You want him to go 5/5 in mid range kicks in TC.

    Anything beyond 40 gets tough.

Containing Spiller will be on Mike Westhoff. We'll probably see a lot of rotational kicks.

CJ was one of the best return men ever in college football, but our special teams unit should be much improved. I'm looking forward to seeing John Conner knock Spiller out on a return.

This may sound stupid, but, how about we roll with 4 different kickers for the season. We'll have the most consistent kicker be our season kicker. Most times, consistent regular season kickers, don't end up being clutch kickers. So, we add a clutch kicker and he'll be our Playoff kicker and at times through the playoff games we mix n match them. The 3rd kicker will be there to talk thru the clutch kicker for every intense situation. And the 4 kicker is there just in case the clutch kicker get injured.

Of course, this formula will only if kicker #4 is Adam Vinateri(sp?).
