I just got an email stating Welker will be ready for training camp and will not start the season on the PUP list.
If that's true, than that's crazy ... or is it? You know how everybody considers the Pats the evil entity of the NFL. I think I have figured out how Welker can recover so quickly from such a devastating injury ... It's like the beginning of the movie "6th Day" with Arnold. The QB gets injured, so he dies, and they just bring in a clone!!!!! THAT'S HOW THEY DO IT!!!! it all makes sense!
Welker is unreal.....i still remember watching that "cut" he took in the Texans game and watching his knee explode.....i thought he was done after seeing that. this is horrible news.
Now you guys do realize that N.E. plays a little fast and loose with their injury reports right? I think this is just another Beli-Cheat smoke screen. It forces teams to waste time preparing for a player that most likely won't be 100% for a good part of the season, if not next season. When I see him on the field making cuts like he used to, then I'll believe he's back but until then...
I like this... Hope he plays when we get to the Pats. One less excuse for them when we stomp their bitch-asses into the ground!
Amen to that. I want to see our defense tested, and I have faith we can handle whatever the Patriots throw at us. I'm happy to hear Welker is having a successful recovery, whether he's on the team I hate the most or not. Ed Reed on the other hand... happy to hear he won't be there week 1. I really want to see Sanchez get off to a good start so he doesn't need Reed flying around picking off passes and killing Sanchez's confidence.
He may come back, but I don't see him being the same Wes Welker, especially not after that horrific injury.

It might have been the only gameplan Mangini got right, but our second game against the Patsies in 2008 he had Revis on Welker all day, and Ty Law jamming the shit out of Moss at the line and safety help shadowing moss all game. That should be the formula, hell Moss is a slouch now anyways, put Revis on the real go to guy and fuck up the patsies offense, besides Wilson can eat Julien Edelmen.
Bring it on. Jeto's probably right, but I'm sure some Jets and many other players are on HGH, too, so I won't speculate. I have a ton of respect for Welker as a player, but I'd be shocked if he was his former self that quickly.
Haha, didn't Welker kick an extra point vs. the Patriots in 2004 when he was with the Dolphins? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it was something bizarre like that. Then I think there was another game the same year that he had a long punt return against them. 70 something yards; and then we all raughed out roud when the Patriots picked him up. I admire the guy's drive and he's a great player, but I just don't trust that this is a 'clean' heal. True, plenty of guys are dirty (man, did I ever want to haul off and punch Calvin Pace in the face), but please let's refrain from Sainthood, people.
