so you say you have to win it all, but then act as if your one super bowl is better than our two because you haven't ever lost in the super bowl?

    logical

I don't know if you really do want to glance at history. 34miami23 is right, I didn't bring up history. But if you want to talk about it, Miami pretty much holds a 2-1 edge in just about everything.

    -Playoff Appearances - Dolphins 22, Jets 12
    -Superbowl Appearances - Dolphins 5, Jets 1
    -Superbowl Victory's - Dolphins 2, Jets 1
-AFC Championships Won - Dolphins 5, Jets 1
-AFC East Division Championships - Dolphins 13, Jets 2 :)breakdance:)
-Hall of Famers - Dolphins 10, Jets 6
    -All Time Record - Dolphins - 394-290 (58%)
    -All Time Record -Jets - 349-416 (44%)

    - Losing seasons - Jets - 21, Dolphins - 10

WINS SINCE 1970 - Present day ('Fins established 1966)

    - NY Jets - 273
    - Miami Dolphins - 379 (Most wins in the NFL)

But you have to give the Jets credit for holding an edge in the Head to head battles over the years 46-42. You guys have always played us well.

But for those of you who keep saying stop talking about the past.. We all know the Dolphins are on a 3 game winning streak.

Opening day can't come fast enough.
I'm really excited to see Sanchez 2.0 as well as our defense with a year under its belt in Rex's defense.

    Goosebumps!!

This proves that the facts don't lie. Sanchez was basically carried the entire season...

No shit Sherlock, he was a rookie ... we had a strong running game and a very good defense, you use your strengths to win ball games not your weaknesses

He was however responsible for our 3-0 start and he was key in the playoff run

We'll ease him in and when he's ready he will be a force

Breaking news: A rookie played like a rookie.

This just in: He's not a rookie anymore.

I'm more bothered by the quadruple-spacing than anything else...

In one hand : You guys are saying he played like a rookie...

In the other : You're raving over how great Sanchez played in the clutch late in the year...

One is accurate, the other is not...

No they are both accurate you know that term that explains, "Not staying the same throughout; having self-contradictory elements"

Oh yeah that's called inconsistency, rookies as well as other NFL players seem to have that, it just so happens that when the lights were the brightest and the pressure was at a all time high Sanchez made some fantastic plays to put us in a position to win the game

Sanchez played like a rookie last year. He showed many good things but was wildly inconsistent as rookie QB's usually are. He did put up the single best rookie QB playoff performance in NFL history in terms of QB Rating. Better than Marino, better than Roethlisberger, better than Flacco, better than ANY ROOKIE QB in NFL playoff history.

I love it when fins fans talk about his rookie season as if he'll never get any better and he's destined to throw 20 INT's every season. It shows how much they know about the NFL.

While we're on the topic of bashing Sanchez's numbers, can one of you knowledgeable Fins fans quantify Sanchez's intangibles and post them also?

It's not that he just threw 20 INT's last season. It's that he threw 20 INT's last season with the best rushing attack in the league, and arguably one of the best offensive lines in football. Not to mention the passing game was already 'toned down' for him for most of the season and he still threw 20INT's. What would that have looked like if they left the training wheels off the whole year?

And now the Jets have arguable a weaker running game, and offensive line coming into this year. You better hope he gets better and doesn't run into one of those "sophomore slumps".
